Hey Payne, great video! just as a fyi-for magic Ruin materia crafting( not blow), you can just use 10,6, and zero (gold) instead of 10,1, and 1 to max it out. It’s a efficient way to craft potential 4 and 5 star materia without using any gold resources 😊

@@PayneBlade I know the struggle! Lol I’ve been grinding materia around the clock for months and have crap to show for it. I must have almost 8-10 five stars, but all mostly flat stats or 2%. I’m super jealous of your 8% PATK 5 star. Lol

The only thing that could have made this better was to find out a baseline good % to stick with or keep aiming higher for, sometimes it is not till the last level where if you have the right stats that you get a huge gain. The thresholds for % at 3*, 4* and 5* if we have any data on that because hard to tell based on % when the stat is on the correct type of materia (i.e PATK% and HP% on a blow materia) but if the 3* is good enough to keep if the percentage is high enough. What i do for the longer materias: i do the long ones before bed so i wake up to the rolls yayaya. Quicker ones during the day u feel me?!

You should do a video on maximizing damage. Prioritizing elemental potency, patk/matk ability potency, and attack, if you could get one to level 5 and the other to level 2 or 3.

This is what I’m currently working on. I probably synthesize 150 ruin materia a day, and the rate of success for a 4-star materia with three or more percentage based stats is so low lol. It’s comical. Let alone the stats matching the ruin (PATK for blow, etc.).

I've had a quake blow materia that i crafted and upgraded. It started as a 3 star materia, and jumped to a 5 star materia after i upgraded it. I just wanted to let you guys know that it's possible, however unlikely.

I already do 2000+ materia synthesis and have not a single one 5 star materia, i have almost 4 star every materia 5 or 6 times, but no 5 star materia. playng from day 1 and miss 2-or 3 day. Play every single day.

I have 3 copies of nearly every material as 4 stars. Haven’t gotten a 5 star yet lol.

Personnaly for stat sticks I only use magic ruins and spam 10, 1, 0 to get the guaranteed 2 stars with 4 stats, I usually get a 4 star every 10 craft or so about every 2 hours. I started doing this once I got 2 4 stars of every spells and different solid cure materia for coop and healer. I have like 8 4 stars of every ruins (most have phy % due to the stupid stats system) and gotten to the point where I am using even bad 4 stars materia as fodder if they don't get at least a 5% stat roll. I'll have to use the rarer material eventually though I'm just too much of a hoarder lol (almost never used an elixir in the OG FF) So yeah this definitively works (only 2 5 stars and they are bad though RIP).

anyone know if there is any chance of the rarity going up more then 1 level, like can a 1* get a miracle upgrade jump to 5*? lol I doubt it but figured id ask

You can actually go from 1 to 5. It's super rare but I've seen it

I have pretty bad luck on pulls not gonna lie but the materia synthesis is where I have the worst luck. I have aquired so little 4* materia that have decent stats about only 15% have good substats but the caveat to that is its the opposite of what the materia should have example; 4*Watera lvl10; Patk: 3.8%, Heal: 3.2%, Pdef:12, Mdef:15. Its a magic materia, even if i gave it to Black Whisker Zack he's built to scale with Patk so the Heal and Matk is pointless when Patk and Hp would be great. Honestly alot of my 3*materia have proper and better % stats. Been playing since day one and have only got 1 5*materia was making Fire Blow to give to Radiant Edge/Ceremonial Garb Sephiroth since he has fire boost spt materia on the weapon. Wanna know what the stats were 5*Fira Blow lvl10; Matk: 2.2%, Pdef: 33, Heal: 5.5%, Mdef: 38. Completely useless other that the high damage% of a 5*materia. The materia system needs a rehaul IMO especially when i used up alot of Gold Mats just to still get 3* when i have gotten 4* with the synthesis lvl below 5.

Why do players haven't go on rampage against applibot for the crappy % for rolling good stats? Is a gacha game, but the materia Is hard to make AND they Keep randomizing everything...

I will watching this video at home, still on work(noon break now). But I have to commentate right now. The Materia system in this game is really annoying… . There ist tooooooo muuuuch rng in it. Rarity rng, what kind of stat do you get rng, percentage or flat rng, level up the materia to get stat rng, if you get a statboost then the amount of course is rng too. Every little thing what can be rng is rng. It almost doesn’t matter what kind of mats do you use. The only different is if you have full 4 stats from the start level 1 the chance is slightly higher to get higher statboost. But your goal is always to get purple or higher and a lot of percentage stats as possible. To reach this goal you need so much damn luck… . Playing since day one and got only one 5* fira with flatstats only. Almost useless. Especially now with the new Cloud weapon. My best materia are a few purple ones with HP 5% PAtk 1,7-3% MAtk 1,7-4%. I’m synthesizing every day 10-20 times. Really my hate part of the game since day one… . I know why there do this. To make every account unique and you get a really great feeling, if you get a 5*. But imo a little bit to exaggerate.

I personally hate the system lol. It is the true rng sadly. If you have been grinding that much this video won't be teaching u anything but man it's the wild west with this system. It needs an overhaul

theres no point keeping 3 stars except if u are new player,stats are very low

Some 3* stats can push up to almost 7% stats so that's not necessarily true

I have quite a few 3 star, some decent 4 star and only 1-5 star(Not great substats). I keep a lot of the 3 stars because they actually have good substats.

@@godhandedv 4 stars are better than 3 stars 99% of the time once you get enough of them, I mean sure you could get super lucky and craft a 3* with 4 stats % at the start and then have every single upgrade roll into the same stat and end up at like 5-6% but realistically that's never gonna happen and you'll waste precious materia/upgrade material on 3* stars that are not gonna be good When you could get decent luck on a 4* roll the upgrade on the same stat twice or thrice and get same or better result much more frequently and save a lot of resources. The inital % stats are also better so you'd have 1,5-2% on the other stats + like 5-6% on the best one. Personally my best 4 stars has 6,5% phy atq and 3% hp, no 3* can get that amount of stats.
