I don't think he realizes Red's weapon is just Matt's Centipede but for MDEF instead of PDEF. The numbers are the same except R abilities, Centipede gets more Heal and Red gets more Buff/debuff. Matt with Centipede is a great healer. Red with this weapon will make him good as a full time healer/buffer.

That's the vibe I got too rofl. Like people were over the moon when Matt's came out but now red gets the flip version and its like "nah". like its going to be great. Especially if he has the imperil on hand. I really doubt he's going to become a tank unit. He does have the point though that the collab could still be worth saving for instead. Red's wep can always be wishlisted at least. And like ryder said, itll be smarter to not roll past the outfit.

Same think with Barret's weapon which is similar to Kamura wand... 70% yadayada... still the best weapon tho

Yeah definitely, i just see Red as more of a backup healer/debuffer/breaker etc ~ it's hard to manage high cost ATB weapons but don't get me wrong it's definitely a good weapon

70% is really high mate, and having done a ton of battles in this game, those HP thresholds can be super annoying on certain battles ~ I honestly dont think it will be as good as it seems in the long run

@@BodhiJMSRyder You were saying how good Kamura Wand is, but it also has the 70% HP threshold. The difference is that Kamura Wand's HP threshold affects the MDEF buff, where as Escutcheon's HP threshold affects the MATK buff. I'd say that the MATK buff requiring above 70% HP is better since you are guaranteed to get the MDEF buff everytime you use Escutcheon, which could save your team from dying. So either you are underestimating Escutcheon or you think Kamura Wand is overrated.

Circled back to this banner for me "I'm comfortable with what I got going into the crossover to pull on one October banner." Hit 2, 3, 6, and 2 stamps and I am DONE in a clean 12k. Good boy finally gets a nice outfit that wasn't a Rebirth door prize.

Congratulations on the new book. Hope the launch goes well. This banner is ok but I think it's probably a skip. Barrett's weapon is good but because he doesn't get a costume, it would be better to wishlist it on future banners. Red's weapon is fine but he can only have two weapons equipped and has better options already. The costume is great for Red and really useful. One of the issues is that we need to save for limited banners so a lot of the featured banners have to be skipped. If we got a FFVIII, FFX, or FFXVI collaboration, I would regret pulling here.

This weapon will be a great replacement for the regen one that he has. I use that a lot when I need heals. But yeah, Red 13 is my favorite character and I wanted to be the one to get all of his costumes but .. I don't know about this one. :( It's in an awkward place. Between a LB banner and a future collab right around the corner. It feels bad. :( So, I'll wishlist the weapon for sure, but I'll be pulling on Angeal's banner now 100%.

Yeah i feel that, and it's a good weapon, but not as good as Centipede, and Centipede is 6 months old . . . so yeah for me definitely a WL item, especially given the timing of its release

The biggest issue with Escution cannon for me is that it really erodes the value of microlaser... which is a huge problem because Microlaser is Barret's only path to party wide heals. In order to make this weapon worthwhile you need Barret's second weapon to either be an imperil or a strong debuff and you can't really put him in the healer role then.

I had to get this outfit for red. It pairs so well with slicer collar. Then now he has a proper healing weapon.

I didn't think elemental resistance would be the thing during Red's Fire/Ice outfit and when banner was on I haven't pulled for it. Though I really loved the look of it. This one I like as well and Abilities are useful too but ..again..it seems that they give us Red's costumes in between some cool limited banners and im afraid to miss something incredible. On other hand Im 10pulls short to get enough mako gems for Cait Sith UW exchange..So for 30k crystals I can get costume and UW with Haste..I am torn to pull for costume or not

Tbh i dont think chasing UW's to pity is a great idea as they are permanent pool and you will eventually get it one day, also cait sith is so rarely used as well ~

Had to grab red costume to replace seaside aloha costume 😂 just kinda wish they put the recent hp+def on it instead of heal . We got another kamura-like - that barret weapon citric and yuffie ice are gonna be my wishlist when they all available in case ifrit has high pdef. Also kinda bummed barret doesn’t get a cure all slot like kamura - so would still need micro laser to main heal. So most likely would run this with a debuff weapon like electro or shark and keep him in support role eh.

Yeah totally, the weapon for Barret is a bit of a letdown TBH, but congrats on the costume!! This is one i really really wish i could pull for!

I want to pull, but I'm waiting to see what Aerith's ultimate weapon is because I might not have enough to pity for it and pull for Red. Currently at 85k

Red's weapon feels like it should have been released 6 months ago, not to mention he already has a high/high all mdef buff... Very lackluster. Easy skip so I can save up for the crossover though

Yeah i totally agree. Some people are saying its great because its similar to Centipede, but the R abilities aren't better, and Centipede dropped like half a year ago. Needed to be an improvement to it imho.

I pulled, still on first page. I really want a costume for Red and that weapon on Barret is nice. I managed to get two (!!) Cait Sith UW nearly back to back, within my first four pulls. I guess i can't say i regret it, especially if i can get the costume in 1 or 2 more pulls. Im not sure about the crossover. I really regret pulling on the ff9 weapons/costumes except for Seph. MH Tifa/Aerith has been good, but its such a pain to get OB6 if you miss out.

Been really let down with angeal and this last banner. I dont like how angeal looks, and i dont like hiw weps or even either of these 2. Almost never use red lol.

Any guide for GB? My strongest water weapon is tifa, but it's magic...

I just put up a clear on S1 doing 100% but it will definitely be harder with Tifa since the armory is catered to physical damage. However, it can still be done, the bosses will just take less damage from Tifa then physical
