Would Stem Cells be able to help with a Central Scotoma caused by solar retinopathy? I have a small blind spot right in the middle of my eye. Im assuming the same cells that are replaced and healed with patients that have AMD, RP, etc... Are the same cells that go bad during solar retinopathy?

I guess not, a photoreceptor is cells that send the light as electric signs to the brain. In Italy, a scientist was able to create an artificial retina that may replace the detached one.

Hi! i am not sure, but photoreceptors can regenerate with stem cells, the treatment isn t 100 percent sure it will heal your problem because it might also ( i think) reject them if from another person without your genetic cells even if it s 50 percent from your genes,.It will need to be 100 percent from your from your body, the bones that have stem cells can be used to heal your photoreceptors, but not even that can heal your eye damadge completly.the treatment also costs around 10.000 dollars.It is estimated that in the next 10 or so years, the scientists could find a treatment.But the stem cells ideea is the most possible solution.I don t think there will be another treatment.

Why not to help endogenous retinal stem cells for regeneration? Retinal regeneration can be acheived by God's mercy nano-grade eye drops already.

According to my doctors at New York Eye and Ear infirmary this methodology has not been perfected and can result in serious eye injury or blindness do not attempt this treatment it is a long way from being a practical methodology and treatment even to this day in 2021
