I really really love how the magic in this game looks and sounds. It's just so....crisp and clear sounding and very well designed and portrayed. My favorite spells are Blizarra('Dat sound!), Hastega(Always looks badass), Protect('Dat sound AND 'dat look!) and Holy('Dat sound, 'Dat look, 'Dat effect!.) I like to equip my magic users(And Ifrit) with Fire Eater armor and use Firaga on myself. It's like your character is so hardcore that explosions HEAL you. XP

I love the death spell, I'm shocked the reaper wasn't more iconic to people, I always remember that laugh when I think of this game.

Death is the best, when you would get the close up finishing blow clip at the end of the fight with this spell you could see death remove the mobs soul in the form of a sphere, hold it in front of mobs face and then crush it resulting in the mobs death. So bad ass!

Even to this day, this is still my favorite visuals for JRPG games. The sound design was so good, and the effects especially the black magic ones, are soooo good. We really feel the choregraphy of the FX being more and more epic and complex. Need to replay the game once more, on Switch soon maybe (what a dream, FFX everywhere).

Love you for this video, looking for it for so long. But I want to ask if you can do a "reflected" version because when magic is reflected, the camera is fixed instead of panning, making it easier for inspection. Also many black magics have 2 different versions, namely ground and air, these include Watera, Waterga, Thundaga and Blizzaga.

The learn-able magic spells only go up to -Aga level. Anything more (Like Giga Gravaja or Megadeath) is a technique exclusive to the boss.
