ive done like 5 of these this month. first time got 6 chests and big win was nibiru gun. 2nd was 7 chests and big win was a really nice pld healing body(i forget name). 3rd, 4,th, 5th times, mimic on first chest lol

A note on the Ambuscade Objective I mention in the Video. I hadn't noticed that it was a party only objective. So that's 3 that you can only do with a party. Ambuscade, Omen and Dynamis. Brings the total Silver Vouchers you can get solo each month to 7 and 3 more if you have a party.

I always open the 5 chests in the back or the frot. :) Makes a fix 50% chance of gettig the mimic and so far, i was pretty lucky doing so XD

Great tip! For 100K Gil per Voucher you can buy up to 5 per month from Greyson if you want to "Gamble".

Not that it is recommended, but it is possible to get things like Omen drops from just opening the Gold chest straight away. Obviously, it's a much lower chance than if you get a thud or loud thud, and, like I said, not really a recommended strategy, but yeah, it is possible.

It theoretically is the recommended strategy since a person collected several months of data and found your chances are actually better thanks to all of the mimics you don’t have killing you.

wow... Maybe i should do these again. A few months ago I did 6 runs, in 5 of the 6 runs got the mimic on the first chest. said screw that and never looked at it again.

How do you have that map on the corner of your screen

You can find it as a default Windower Plugin called "FFXIDB". You can then move the map around the screen and position it where you find convenient. Hope this helps. windower.net/

All tiers of chest have a chance of dropping 5mil this isnt something thats unique to the Loud Thud chests.

It's almost always better to just sell the orbs for Gil and pay Mercs to get the items for you. For instance in 10 runs off mars orb that's 30 mil Gil. You can choose ANY or multiple OMEN or Vagary boss items for that. You can even buy Pulse weapons for 30 or sometimes less. It's really not worth using them yourself. Maybe only if your on a server where people don't Merc anything but on Asura you can get anything you want at any time. I can't tell you the number of times I've got a tier 2 or tier 3 and got awesome armor for jobs I'm never gonna play.

Ahh yes this confirms a comment I made on one of your comments in another video. If your on Asura or maybe even Odin that may be an option for you so that choice is yours. On many server's the purchasing of Mars orb's really isn't that common. I think I've seen two shouts ever for someone wanting to buy Mars Orbs on Phoenix.

I have admittedly only done a few Venus Orb runs but no i've not noticed that it's any better or gives better rewards. That being said, there is obviously some kind of difference but it's not been large enough to be noticed from my expereince.

So I've heard that if you have reraise on, the mimic's death move changes to doing damage instead of instant death. Any truth here?

Haven't heard that and I know I used reraise a few times when I first started so pretty certain it's untrue. That being said I haven't tried it recently so worth a shot next time I go in.

How can you advise people to open after thud ? Is this video just one big troll to force people to get shit drops? Loud thud or bust. Thuds is garbage 99% of time and even loud thuds are usually shit (since they can yield escha weapons too). Your mimic after thud theory is false too btw, I've experienced it firsthand myself.
