I was struggling with it as well upon returning from my break from the game and in entry 119 gear. Once I got Malignance and went back it was as easy as you see here so I think it's mainly Magic Evasion related. Maybe try some Magic Eva food and if at all possible try to get and use some Malignance gear. I have vid's up showing how to solo on thf if your interested.

Man, took me like 20 trys to beat Rancibus on sam/war experimenting with trusts. Now I'm onto this shit-stain. I'm thinking Pld/nin with Ingrid trust because she prioritizes cursna. Anyway, thanks for the video.

I had issues when I first came back and tried this one, I was missing too much Magic Evasion, make sure you have as much as possible to take this one on. Good luck!

Can this be done solo + Trusts with DRK/SAM tanking it? I've tried it a few times already with a standard party setup of Trusts, but quickly died from Doom (Holy Waters wouldn't remove it) and Bio spam.

I honestly do not know as I don't have expereince with DRK but I as well had issues with this when I was lesser geared so my guess is probably not. Try boosting your magic evasion as much as you can to resist the doom is about all I can suggest, jobs who can wear full Malignance set have an easier time.

even with this guide this fight is still a giant dogsh!t rng fest. Nice getting one shot as a ninja despite everyone trust and party having full mana, doom free. Fought him ten times, every once; times between stuns were measured in sub double digit seconds.
