Always did wanna play this. Peak Hamauzu. Pulling out the ole’ pencil and paper cause the piano improv (assuming it was improvised, sure sounds like it) during the A section is annoying to have to memorize.
Any criticism and advice would be helpful, music requests are also appreciated!

Phenomenal arrangement as always! One of my favorite tracks from the entire series, and you’ve nailed it. If I may enqueue a request, I would love to hear your interpretation of Saint’s Wreath from DQ11

o.O you work in software Ben? The word 'enqueue' ..hm I don't particularly rate Saint's Wreath rn but I also haven't play dq11. Feel like you'd warm up to the music if you played the games, since the series does have good music. But those games aren't short lol. No for now, but I'll prioritize it when I play the game.

56 hours it looks like, not anytime soon :p Oh a student, but not studying software then? Lol so this word enqueue, I was staring at every day for a while, because it's specific word for queueing asynchronous workloads (as opposed to execute for synchronous). Almost perfectly describes how music might be worked on. Just oddly perfect word choice. And yeah I work in software.

@@dreadjoker10 No worries, glad we can nerd out about software development... I also am studying CS, so I originally heard the word in the data-structure context (FIFO queues). As I'm sure you've also noticed, many computer science concepts and terms are highly applicable in day-to-day life, so often times I forget the words have a technical undertone. At any rate, it's so impressive that you can find time to play the piano while also working in software. kudos!

Ah it's used for queues right, totally remember that... :| (I forgot). The only other place I could see it being used is in like a Victorian novel. In the book Frankenstein, the author uses words like 'entreat' every other page. Probably a rare word, haha. Life's got a lot of time if you make it. Good luck on your degree!

I am loving your arrangements! Maybe you could consider arranging "M106 Last Battle Prototype+" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYS3q6yfh6hme9E)? It's the prototype version of Nascent Requiem, the final boss theme of FFXIII. I feel it's another great Hamauzu piece. I also think it has more "final battle" vibes compared to what was actually used in the game.

Sorry it's not on the official soundtrack so I'll pass :c Pretty cool though, to see what a 'prototype' sounded like. But eh, to me it sounds too much like an early sketch.

@@jodelasur I love nascent requiem itself haha, but I guess the caveat is it would probably be the hardest thing i've ever had to transcribe for an upload...so. Idk maybe in half a year :'/ I'm not sure im good enough to play it at the moment. and thank you
