I just started and got my blm to 40. some things i haven't found yet, (playing with a controller as well.:(....) how do you get your nameplates like that? how do we know when we get that thunder proc?

Sry I'm at work away from my pc right now. If you meant removing your name above character try this link: steamcommunity.com/app/39210/discussions/0/606068060837324115/ About the thunder proc use, your thunder spells will light up during combat if damage over time is ticking on enemies, it's a low % chance. Press the lit up spell and ur toon will fire it off instantly

there should be a complete guide to blm on my channel, recent too yet long u dont need to watch the whole thing so do tend to ur lv thru time stamps in both video and/or description follow the setup and u should do just fine yes, many proclaim to strange and unique rotations for blm but the job does not need such complexity

Right?! I'm level 36 BLM and I feel like I've been playing my class wrong and got here. Confused about the whole astral fire and umbral ice deal still lol. (finished watching video. I'm a lot less confused but laughed a lot because I use scathe on targets that die too fast in dungeons etc or if i have to move and interrupt my casts because the tanks running like a madlad or something.)

Black mage looks so much fun at high level but the levelling proses feels so boring the spells feels so slow at lower levels.

nope, thaumaturge use wand till job adv to black mage after that all you'll get/craft is a staff and you cant glamour a wand ontop of a staff, must be similar weapon types

Can someone explain why people say to use thunder 2 instead of blizzard 2 for aoe situations when you are low mana? Blizzard 2 has more potency and regens mana, so isnt it better for low level, low mana AOE situations?

Delete Blizzard2 off ur hud Blizzard1>Thunder1/2>Transpose/Fire1/2 spam till empty MP>Tranpose/Restart

you CAN use scathe, dont get me wrong but limit use or ignore all together during actual rotation cuz it limits your fire1 use
