Phenomenal guide!!! I really appreciate the pacing (i.e. you show the mechanic from multiple different perspectives for each nitty gritty detail, so we can really observe and learn from the clip, rather than us viewers desperately trying to absorb wtf is happening in 8 seconds from only one POV) The moments where you pause and use a yellow circle to highlight what you're talking about helped me the most, and your tips n tricks (like "red light green light" for mirrors) helped the mechanics click for me much quicker than the robotic wikipedia-esque descriptions from other guides. I seriously can't sing your praises enough, dude. Instant sub from me. Thank you for all the considerate editing and descriptiveness in your guides, it is MAJORLY appreciated!!

Jopet216 is correct. While it seems pretty far zoomed out, the ultrawide combined with the 4k makes it seem like the camera's off in Narnia. You can also adjust the camera angles in the settings, like a tilt up-down to make it look like it's further away from your character.

You don't have to swap dps for second wyrm lament at all, as long as you have 4 people it's fine?
@LyconaDaCheeChee4 жыл бұрын
it's either a dps swap or no-swap depending on the debuffs each ark morn group has. As long as you have 4 reds, to take the dragon head, you'll be fine so they won't explode. You don't have the cleans the blues, but folks will die if they don't cleanse. Sry can't remember the red/blue de-buff names.
@ememvladislav75214 жыл бұрын
@@LyconaDaCheeChee The blue and red debuffs have nothing to do with the stacking for ark morn or morn afah. You just need to stack for those in 2 groups as usual and no switching is needed, then do your cleansing.
@LyconaDaCheeChee4 жыл бұрын
@@ememvladislav7521 ooh, sorry I mis read your first post. There is only one maybe swap at the beginning of you don't have two reds and two blues in each group. If you swap, then you stay with the swapped group for the remainder. You are correct.

I'm still doing it! To be honest, I just couldn't wrap my brain around the portal mechanic when you have the white and purple colors on your character. So I started working on the Shiva guide because that was more straight forward and I understood the majority of that fight. Plus, I'd figure Shiva was the fight that most people will be working on clearing at the moment. It wasn't until last week's raid that I kinda fully understood how to process the portal mechanic in my brain during raid, and apply it to a guide. Now that we have the lane switch or stay strat, I'll be putting that on into the guide. On my clear video, it was pure luck that I survived the portals. I know how each part works, but in combination, muh brain just oozed out of my head. o7s is coming soon!

why do you go past the middle point at the KB mirrors?
@nelsonrodriguez46074 жыл бұрын
i mean look away mirrors*
@LyconaDaCheeChee4 жыл бұрын
there are two mirrors on both the left and right side. So if you run slightly past the middle, and look towards the outside of the stage, your character isn't looking at the mirrors. Technically you can 'not' run past that centerline, but then look southward (character relative) towards the outside of the stage and still not be looking at it. It was just easier for me to conceptualize running past the middle, look outwards, and never get hit with them ever.

@darkiepoo89494 жыл бұрын
"cheese"ing the KB mirror mech is standard by now, because people have learned the timing isn't really that exact. the uptime you get from it is simply too good to pass up. again, it bears mentioning here, the "cheese" knockback strat timing isn't "absolutely perfect" unlike what Lycona says in this video. simply press anti-knockback when shiva turns from her arena attack to face the main tank. or if you prefer to use the cast bar to time your press, enlargen your "debuff HUD widget" to max and look at that instead. you have roughly a 1.5 second window in which to press arm's length, as the two pushes from the mirrors are roughly 4.5 seconds apart and arm's length / surecast lasts 6 seconds. i see a lot more timing mistakes from people who panic and press it too early and get killed on the second mirror. and many more deaths from simply not standing in the right group, or standing in the middle where the tank should be. if you have latency due to distance or whatever, you simply have to find your own timing based on the first "Hallowed Mirror" cast bar.
@Saph2464 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this explanation. I've been seeing the "cheese strat" a lot now in PF but was never confident enough to try it. But now I think I could give it a go
@frialzers4 жыл бұрын
Is this DD in strat? 2:00
@ragnorak50954 жыл бұрын
interesting way of doing LR, some statics might choose to use it however, PF will NEVER use it because Illya made his guide first and thus becomes the "standard" way of doing LR, PF will not relearn something new :/ also the way normal PF those this mechanic it simpler, chains people do absolutely nothing and just E/W rotate CW, I do like your explanation of many other machanics
@6squall94 жыл бұрын
PFing is all about minimizing the chance of error, the less variables the better, as you pointed out, having half the group barely doing anything makes it superior over any strategy that relies on all party members to move correctly as far as playing with strangers goes anyway.
@darkiepoo89494 жыл бұрын
as squall said, ilya became most common because it's simply the easiest. this is why cheese KB eventually became more common, because people learned the timing and realized it really isn't hard at all, it allows 7 people to not move at all, and the uptime is worth it.
@Dor_Z4 жыл бұрын
The strat for light rampent is just not good its a major up time loss. All in all its a nice constructive guide
@KazumiKiguma4 жыл бұрын
It's good for clearing the mechanic, it's not that good for maximum dps, so it really depends on what you're going for. Adjust strategies based on your group, and remember the focus order of fights: clearing mechanics > clearing dps checks > clearing the fight > upping dps parse. We're several weeks and much better gear in from when it was just barely manageable, every week that goes by, that worry is less and less.
@Dor_Z4 жыл бұрын
@@KazumiKiguma I agree it just that in this fight the DPS is tight so even if you clear the mechanic you might not have enough dps to clear and that strat is just not good even the one that made it said so. but if you like it than use it
