FFXIV: Endwalker Reaper 1 to 90 Leveling Skills Guide

Patch 6.5: Small buffs
Patch 6.4: Arcane Circle doubled in size
Patch 6.28: More buffs, especially Plentiful Harvest and Communio
Patch 6.2: Main Combo potencies up with a new trait at 86.
Patch 6.1: Hell's Ingress and Hell's Regress now 20 seconds, shorter animation for Regress.
Patch 6.05: Crest of Time Returned now 250 potency total. Now a bit less ludicrously strong.

This guide seeks to teach new Reapers how to Reaper properly, without getting too deep into optimization. I'll be showing off and explaining some openers but not delving too much deeper beyond that and general skill usage. Endgame is a long way away and there's lots to learn along the way. Start slow and work your way up one skill at a time! Then, graduate to more advanced guides.

I always used Arcane Circle a little later during my rotation to use during burst phases instead of at the start of fights. Does it make a big difference?

Holy shit 26:06 I have been trying to hit the positional for void and cross reaping with the mindset they worked the same as gibbet and gallows but on a 1.5 GCD. I must have looked insane in some of my fights flipping between the flank and rear so fast in enshroud. Thanks for the info Wesk, I normally know most of the info in these guides but there are always small quirks that are easy to miss with classes. Keep up the great content!

It's also worth noting that Soul Slice/Scythe and Death's Design have the same durations - if you're having trouble keeping DD up, consider using Shadow/Whorl of Death as SS is about to come back up.

This is one of the best rotation guides Ive seen so far. Im kinda struggling in FFXIV a bit...I honestly have a lot of trouble getting the rotations down, I dunno maybe I have a bad memory lol. The karaoke opener and offset oGCD icons do a lot to make weaving clearer, so kudos for those, and the Botanist bit at the beginning was hilarious. My only criticism is that the word gibbet is pronounced with a j sound at the beginning, like "jibbit".

Having just unlocked Reaper last night I have been looking round at the different "guides" that are on offer, and I must say that this is by far the best one out there. Oddly enough the biggest misconception I had was that Void/Cross Reaping retained positionals...I was doing crazy dances during boss fights haha Thanks again. great stuff as always~ i was eagerly awaiting to see what your guide said for Reaper, hoping that i wasn't too far off-base with my understanding of the class and happy to see i wasn't. it was a bit to take in at lvl 70 with all the buttons and traits available lol the job itself is fantastic imo, probably my new main now. i love that it shares gear with DRG too since that's the job i've been maining since ARR (will probably just switch between the two depending on how i feel). i like what you said in the beginning and definitely feel that my experience as DRG definitely helped in learning RPR. i find them to be similar somewhat and was nodding my head when you said "if DRG is a train, RPR is a bullet train". thanks for the guide! can't wait to see your other lvl 90 guides! fantastic job~

I finally got to Shadowbringers in the MSQ not too long ago and decided to play reaper through it and Endwalker. I just got to 80 and I'm only now checking the guide to make sure I understand the weirdness with generating shroud gauge for my opener at my current level. The reason I waited was because I really wanted to test myself and see if I could maintain my understanding of an optimal rotation while leveling. I've been really successful, and that's due in no small part to the work you put into making these. Your videos have made me a better and more well-informed player. All that to say thank you for your hard work! It's done a lot to help me beyond the scope of understanding tooltips.
