It's been so long since Keeper of the Lake I completely forgot Midgarsomr was suppose to be guarding something. I don't have much speculation on where Vrtra has been or anything, but I'm really looking forward to the First Brood being reintroduced back into the story in EW. Wonderful video! Short, concise and informative! Great to see you posting again!!

I love the idea of the brood, so I've tried to play close attention to their story. Plus the idea of Midgarsomr being remotely on the same playing field as Hydaelyn and Zodiark caught my attention!

We may see Vrtra in the patch tomorrow as well (5.55) but am sure the dragon lore will be very important. The other thing in the Endwalker logo looks a bit like a spaceship, so perhaps related to Omega/the dragons. As to who built omega...space Ascians! I kid, I kid.

Ooooo! I hadn't thought about them introducing Vrtra this early! That would be exciting. I know we've switched to role quests now instead of job quests, but it would have been really cool for Dragoons (imo) to have had the brood's story and backstory play a part in it!

Estinien getting more involved with the brood because he now has a piece of Niddhog in him, arguably the only last good piece Niddhog had in himself (his love for his siblings) hits hard. I do wonder if the people who chased Midgy off had any connections or relations with the Ancients. Other than that, I just kinda wonder as to where Estinien found Vrtra and, I hope, it might hint at new areas down the line? Like, that was kinda the shtick, with those 7 spreading out and settling in specific areas. I wonder if Vrtra was just chilling at Thavnir? Also, few pointers to Azdaja, if you want, but it seems that they come from Russian-ish folklore? Kinda: the prototype seems to come from Russian folklore, from Zmey, a less muscular and more "thin and sharp" evil-greedy dragon. Azdaja seems to have roots in Bulgarian and Macedonian, as well as Serbian, folklore while the word itself is borrowed from Persian, having origins in Indo-Iranian. All and all, I do wonder if Azdaja is at the northern part of Ilsebard, where it is cold as shit? IT has been mentioned that Garleans never settled up there. Maybe we will meet them in 6.1 with some sort of FF-nord tribe?

Ooooooo! Yeah I was reading up on the Slavic lore for Azdaja but I didn't find all that!!! I'm going to have to refine my search now! They did preview the snowy tree area in the key note, so you may be onto something! On the Estinien note, I wonder if they can sense Niddhog in him. I can't recall if Tiamat made any kind of indication that she sensed him.... I'm going to have to go back and watch! Thank you for the awesome info!!!!

@@EverydayEorzean Might want to try looking into аждаја, which is Serbian for Azdaja, if you want to try dig something up but info is limited. So far, the common tropes seems to be 1) multiple heads 2) morally neutral to evil 3) is a woman. Just felt like throwing that additional stuff your way.

Have you done the latest story?! I am having thoughts about a particular shadow... But I need to go back and review the CS!!!
@OneReallyGrumpyJill3 жыл бұрын
@@EverydayEorzean I have: what shadow exactly? Can't say I noticed any special shadows but, then again, I was fairly tired when doing the story. THere was a roar though, and Zenos did refer to a "dreamer" so, perhaps that was Azdaja?

@@OneReallyGrumpyJill It was that scene, he looks up at a shadow, but after going back and looking at it, it may have just been an image of the tower from the in the trailer.

I don’t think we’ll see Azdaja in Endwalker as all the First Brood went o different parts of the world and I firmly believe that Azdaja is most likely in the New Workd waiting to be discovered in the future. Vrtra’s home is most likely Thavnair which is where Estinien finds him. He’s also the baby of the brood according to Ishikawa so I’m curious how that will tie into his personality.

I am really excited for the New World. We know just enough for it to be interesting and mysterious! Another player ( I think it's in the comment section) made reference to Azdaja being a snow dragon... Here's hoping we get more snow zones!!!!!!

If we were to use other games version of Azdaja, we can look to Genshin Impact that introduced a "earth-like dragon" called Azdaha. That one dwelled inside the land, so maybe we could eventually be getting a earth/underground dragon (and maybe even one that burrows instead of fly)
