I appreciate your videos and insight, but I have to say I would not advise either of these methods. I'm on Tonberry and the SB weapons sell VERY rarely. The mats themselves you could make an argument for but even then you run the risk of wasting time for gil amounts you could make more efficiently elsewhere. In regards to the transmuting, hard no. The less popular IXs aren't selling cheap enough to justify buying in bulk for the CHANCE of getting a Savage IX. You'd barely be breaking even or at the very best making a MARGINAL profit that would not be worth your time. The market sucks right now. I have a few items I'm profiting from. But other than that, A Rank hunts, retainers bringing sweet sweet coffers and Kumbiraskin Maps to break things up a bit are my gil earning methods. Hopefully the Materia market stays decent but I wouldn't put anything passed these awful undercutters.

Transmuting is definitely a guaranteed profit if your server cooperates. Any of these moneymakers rely on your specific world's economics also - these other moneymakers are great suggestions also.

@@seanjoseph91 Came here hoping for a comment like this, it's pretty similar on Garuda, it's honestly more worth me farming the clusters from daily roulettes and selling the materia that way than it is to hope I get something good from transmuting. That said at least Carrot Nibbles are popping off for me :')

@@seanjoseph91 It's not as bad as you describe on my server - the math isn't as simple as you'd expect since if you can find 5 materia that are all lower than the averages of all the others, you won't get back it can be ok. I spent roughly 275k on 126 transmutes of the 4 lowest materia on the DC since the jump up to 5 was too big at around 2.5k each while the bottom 4 were ~500. I alternated putting 2 materia in on the highest stack to keep it roughly split evenly. Spent ~30min transmuting and got out 616k of IXs and 167k of Xs, so at least 341k profit with no X drops, but I ended up with 508k, and could be up to around like 750k depending how lucky you are with X drops. The cheap materia on my DC was about 500 gil each, lows of 200 and highs of 900, and the average of all others was roughly 1055. I initally bought anything under 500, then bought up to 1k to equalize stacks.

Sorry but this isn't considered broken methods. Transmutation been around for ever and unsync primal Runs is what happens every new expansion. i know it gets ppl to click the video which is fine but this it's not broken in my opinion. Primal glam is very slow selling in most instances.

i’ve been shocked and appalled at how much the crafting market in general has crashed, but especially the new crafted gear. people have undercut by 50-100k and people just keep letting that happen. certain gear pieces like have gone below 100k on my server, like NIN shoes were 85k the other day. these people are fucking it up for everyone by trying to get a quick sale but don’t realize that people (and especially bots) are going to undercut whatever the lowest price is and their stuff isn’t going to sell any quicker. i got so frustrated i took a break from crafting, i’m saving my materials for 6.1

I saw someone under the SGE weapon by 50% from 200k down to 100k. It led to more people undercutting for a bit but eventually it normalized again, but it's just so insane. Also late at night when people aren't buying items (because nobody is online) sellers seem to see that as the price being too high, so they undercut even more.

The set is worth the demand. For a full set? 2 mil is a steal (for a piece? 2 mil is obsene if I'm providing mats)). This gear is only 20 ilvl lower than BiS and allows most PFs to clear the fight. It IS that valuable for those that want to get in early. People who undercut by more than 1 gil do nothing but hurt those that put in time and gil into getting the crafters up and geared.

The video has ~8k views. And not everyone who watched is will actually do what was in the video, spread that over multiple data centers and servers and this shouldn't make a dent. If it does then the market was too fragile to begin with.

For the materia transmutation, you never get back the type you put in, so to maximize your odds of getting the best materia to sell, put in (based on the market price, I used Aether prices): * Battledance, Piety, Quickarm, Quicktongue, and Gatherer's Grasp (GP) Those are the cheapest 5, and Gatherer's Grasp X for the first month has been cheaper than Quickarm/Quicktongue - I took advantage of it early on and made a little bit of money.. profit margins are okay, even when I did around 110 transmutes overall. It's not worth it at this point because the 'green' materia has dropped significantly due to people having gear to spiritbond now, the blues have dropped significantly as well.

I definitely think all FD’s viewers feel his frustration with the current markets right now. I don’t think anyone could have anticipated just how fast the Market Board on most servers would turn into a WoW AH. You can’t even put an item on the board without already having been undercut before you close out your retainer menu, and it’s likely all of us have just sat in disbelief that markets crash by 100% in less than hour. Undercuts by 10s of 1000s of Gil until the new rock bottom price is now the new market that will just crash again. So I think we all appreciate these little side ventures to break up the monotony of materia farming or chasing the last crafted gear market that can manage to stay above 200k

I played wow for a long time. There may have been undercutting but this never happened. Both games were equal on the undercutting game. The market being sabotaged like it has been here never happened in my 9 years on wow.

I made about 10mil in 3-4 days just by farming those lvl 70 trials. It's an amazing way to make money. I find it better to just sell the materials by themselves, they sell much faster and reliably than the weapons.

I have an issue with my chat log and i cant find information or help about it ANYWHERE. Its driving me insane. My confirm/interact button is set to E (tried with multiple diff keybinds for it and i still get the same problem) but everytime i target an interactable like picking up keys, activating things for mechs, using shortcuts, etc my confirm button 60% of the time will go to the chat log and putting E in chat instead of interacting with items (wiped on some mechs because of this crap, took to long to activate because i then have to click everything instead). I have direct chat turned off. All other chat keybinds are off. Only way i should go to chat log is with enter. Please someone tell me what is causing this because its driving me insane and will switch to controller if i cant figure this out as much as i dont want to. Im tired of lookin like an idiot because my confirm button decides not to do the one things its supposed to do.

Whenever I watch videos like this for an mmo im playing I just pray it's not explaining any of the markets I'm currently in. This one almost had 2 but i stopped transmuting weeks ago when its profit was already down like 50% from what it was before. ShB ex weps are already on their way out too, so can confirm these types of videos don't generally come out until the markets are already on their way out as well.

Something not being discussed: the resurgence of Timeworn Zonureskin Maps. Both the maps and their drops are shooting up in price. Maps are going from 100-180k per depending on the day. Shell Leathers are back up to 440k-500k per, which you can get from Gliderskins. Kumbhiraskin Maps and their drops have tumbled in price hard.

Stocking up on plates of light for when those weapons are released and gathering and crafting materia for the 6.1 set. SoS ex weapon models look good and if the particle effects are half way decent they should bring in a lot of gil day 1.

Ah materia transmuting, the thing that made me my first millions back when I was jamming together Vs and VIs. Glad it’s still an option, but perhaps not the best time investment. To add a tip much like the Stormblood extremes: some of the stuff out of Eurekan lockboxes is surprisingly expensive, with glamour gear going for 100-500k+ in some slots. People don’t want to put the work in to get into Pyros or Hydatos, but it’s really not that bad to do and the zones are surprisingly populated

You can get eureka minions and mounts also with your GC seals, it's rng ofc, but it's worth a try from time to time, prices are dropping a bit also because of this. You need to be rank Captain and buy those materiel chests for 20k seals (3.0 includes ARR/HW stuff, 4.0 SB ones). For Eureka mounts you need the 4.0.

@@seasluggy I think it was introduced only recently with EW, and since sometimes we literally farm seals in background doing other things, such deliver gear pieces at GC, it's fun giving it a try if you don't ever spend them, you can find old minion and mounts for yourself, and if you own it already to sell or gift to friends :)

But I'm seeing more people doing it the past few days. Less opportunity now. If this trend continues, many of the quick and small passive money tricks will be revealed to more and more people. In Runescape you saw the same happen. Some guys making tons of videos about every money maker. Every market crashed. I really dislike it. Anyone good at making money doesn't need a video like this. The ones that aren't as smart need a video. But are the same kind of people that will undercut and oversaturate a market.

Making gil is easy. It requires 2 things. 1) a few minutes of your time and 2) lots and lots of stupid people. Step 1: walk 2 feet to a armor vendor. Step 2: buy shit. Step 3: sell that shit to stupid people who don't know they could've saved tens of thousands of gil by walking 2 feet to an armor vendor. Step 4: roll around in your giant money pit.

When more people get into crafting, you should expect profits to be affected. Simple supply and demand, don't blame the new people just because the older crafters enjoyed more of a monopoly and could easily fix the prices on the market. I think it is a good thing, now people will be able to buy more of their stuff from the market much cheaper.
