It's still relevant but I am considering updating it. In the meantime, I would recommend using the gathering route instead of fishing. Fishing involves too much RNG to get the fish you need. And thank you, I really appreciate the kind words. 😊

sense having this account (started in 2019) I never invested in any of the crafting and gathering skills. so now to get the one haircut I want for my character, I need to at least take up fishing "sigh"

You are welcome. ^_^ Short answer: It really is server dependent so you will have to do a little research. Long Answer: It's server dependent. To see what sells, go to the market board then search for 'approved grade 4' it will pull up all the mats that were released in the latest phase of the restoration. Click on each item then view what they are selling for and their respective sale history. Looking at the sale history will help you determine what people are always buying on your server. Hope this helps.

Hello, I'm a bit late, but I want to suggest you one thing if you want to make money from fishing! What I did was looking up the fish needed for the fisher quests and sell those. They got sold almost inmediately. Just something for you to consider if you want! Hope it helps.

It's the skyward fishing rod. It's the final stage of the skysteel gathering relic for fisher.

@Godsane Yea you can fish or use the gathering route to farm skybuilder scrips. Based on the feedback I received, fishing may not be the best way to farm scrips because of fishing RNG. Sometimes you can fish for an hour or so and not get the fish you need for a lot of scrips. Go ahead and try fishing to see if you have luck. If not, the gathering route is good. After you catch the little thalos, you can desynth them for crafting materials. Thanks for the question. I need to update this guide as well.

The gear? If it is the gear, you definitely have to be level 80. If it is access to the Ishgard Resotration, you can definitely get access to the Ishgard Restoration if you are on the free trial. I believe you have to beat Heavensward first. Let me know if this answers your question or not.

It's a scratch off game that you play for prizes. You just need to speak to Lizbeth in the Firmament. She is specifically located at x:12.3, y:14.7.

How do I get the landsaint gear

It's actually handsaint. I must've misspoke in the video but anyway. You can get the gear set mentioned in the video from any scrip exchange vendor. The scrip exchanges are located in any of the starting cities (limsa/ul dah, gridania), idlyshire, or eulmore. You will need to be level 80 and use white crafting scrips to purchase the gear. The scrip exchange in Limsa is located West Hawkers Alley (x:6.1, y:12). Hope this helps.

I know this guide is a year old but dang, it's saying I need an ilvl of 440+ to fish this fish and lvl 70 gear from gyr abania is not even half that.

That's odd...maybe you aren't a high enough level yet?

That happened to me, but (I don't know if that applies to you) it was because I got confused with the collectable rating. Even if it shows a value there, you have to reach the minimum one to be able to turn the item in.

What level are you? I believe you need to be level 80 with skybuilder bait to fish at the Swirling Cloudtop.

At the moment I do not have a scrip farming guide for level 60 crafters and gatherers. However, I imagine you will be getting a lot of scrips regardless with all the turn ins you will have to do to level.

The diadem is for lv80 only?

The guide works best if you are level 80. However you can go into the Diadem as early as level 10.
