Even if taken mostly as a joke, this is my favorite episode. I do get the idea behind a serious scholar sharing the stories of the realm, but a bit of humoresque comment here and there adds some nice spice to the video. :)

First, this is gonna need an update after the revelations we got recently. Secondly, Nashu (supposedly) has a sister named Masha who's a singer with the Songbirds, a band who usually show up on Little Ladies' Day.

It is only fitting there is a more humorous tone to this video, considering the ah, family at hand. :) I actually did not know about Nashu's past, nor how Godbert and Julyan became a powerhouse all to themselves. In light of that, Hildi had no hope of a 'normal' life. Also, bless Briardien. I swear he was put in there to match how many players feel watching all these shenanigans which somehow seem to completely in character. Wise you are to not upset Julyan, about her family or her age :)

Wait, Nashu didn’t have any other family? I could’ve sworn during one the the little lady’s day events she mentioned that one of the Songbirds (the moon cat one obvi) was her sister. They do have the same last name but I think moon cats girls get to pick there sur name. I don’t think that get their moms name as a surname like moon cat boys do. I guess they didn’t know about one another until years later that would make the most sense.

Mooncat girls surnames are the same as their mothers. However, Aliapoh, Mewrilah, and Mhakaracca are extremely common. They're like the equivalent of Smith, Nguyên, and García on earth. That said, Masha is Nashu's younger sister. Regardless, this video was slightly editorialized (the end mentioning everything was 99% true), and probably pulls from in game text, where Nashu's backstory may have mentioned something to the effect of having no other family to turn to. Its possible their mother was exiled from the clan for poaching, with Nashu following her, and Masha staying with the clan.

I just love these questlines because it breaks up all of the seriousness and all of the darking Gloom stuff. Which don't get me wrong that stuff is kind of exciting and can be fun but after you've done fifty missions in a row where you're either sitting around having to deal with politics or constantly fighting off hordes of despair or having to deal with another old lady that needs you to go and help her young Chocobo goinfine Chocobo grass. Or fight a war of dragons or going side of mechanical monstrosity or go inside to Crystal Tower are going inside another crystal structure that has Bahamut in it. These quests help at least break up the monotony and yes I purposely made this sentence as long and annoying so you had to sit there and read it🤣

We did actually find out who founded the Manderville family from Godbert when you start the Manderville weaponj relic questline, the founder was a man called Godbrand Manderville and he created the 19 almighty Manderville weapons. ;)
