Ooft. Just got to this boss and failed the push so miserably. I had such a breezy 171-179 too! I was using your run as a reference too, but I didn't hold my cooldowns / gauge soon enough. Maybe next time...

So at 31%, we should start holding our cooldowns? And at 21%, use the Succubus on it? Then once it begins to go through its meteor attack cycle, go hard with the cooldowns you saved?

Roughly speaking, yeah! MCH does great damage, and also has the benefit of shorter cooldowns. You basically just want to make sure by the time you are ready for the burst push, your gauges are full, and wildfire/reassemble is ready to go. 21%~ is a good estimate to managing lust stacks and give you room to fine tune behemoth's HP right before you burst.

@@Angelusdemonus Thank you for the quick reply! I'm at floor 111 as a warrior, and worried that being a non-dps will make this fight more difficult for me. For the first meteor attack, I just plan on using thrill of battle and equilibrium with a sustain potion, and then holmgang for the second one. I guess it's on the third that I have to really hope for the best, or just pop all of my mitigation, and hope I have 1 hp left.

@@acatssoftnose3940 They do! Food is pretty crucial, but for behemoth you have to remove it during the meteor burst o/

I keep almost getting this but missing a sustaining tick or forgetting to take off food buff. Is it cool to just take off food buff before the final push like at 15.1%? Closest I got it so far was 2% x_x

This attempt was one of my earlier ones on MCH, so I had done it without food for the entire fight. I knew I would forget to take off food mid burst, so I decided to go without. Nowdays I do weave in the food removal (because of my experience with tanks and 180). But absolutely you can remove food early or even just go without.

With a Job that can't out-dps the meteors, is it possible to get through it by healing through the first one and using the resses through a second and third one? Or does the time it takes for you to resurrect make it not even worth considering?

@@MystMG They do, but Living Dead means you'll die at the end of the duration if Behemoth isn't dead. Exceedingly difficult to pull off. If you die after duty complete it's fine, though, as far as I know.

I just got to this boss and died twice to the enrage, this is such bullshit after getting so far he just keeps casting meteors, really... I just didnt have enough damage as warrior to burst him down, i survived two metors man im pissed.

Behemoth is very unforgiving thats for sure :( and WAR has it a bit rougher than MCH, although as long as you get it about 70% right, you can nail it. If you hadn't already, you can check a recent WAR run I did specifically on Behemoth 180: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3nIg2eYfNmKh9Usi=GEq0idvViSz1RwW4&t=19971 I have it down fairly well, so if you go back in on WAR, I hope this helps o/.

@@Angelusdemonus yeah i should have looked that fihgt up beforehand, that multiple meteor casts was really surprising, it seems to require perfect preperation and cooldown use. I don't know it is a hefty time investment to get back there just for another try, if i at least didn't have to start at level 1... 1-50 are so boring
