FFXIV PoTD MCH Floor 190 Boss Clear Solo - Angelus Demonus

Is there something that makes this boss hard? Just curious? Do you really need to pre-position the boss?

The auto attacks hit like a truck and it seems to overall be a lot easier if you pre-position, especially as a melee. If the bombs get their cast off it's 80% max hp damage and a 5 second freeze which will probably kill you, and the boss' big cast does 99% max HP damage.

do bombs get pushed based on damage of the ability or its set amount for all hits

Any hits or anything that does damage. For MCH you want to be careful with Ricochet!

Why are you risking a lust during this fight? The timer doesnt seem THAT tight, is it?

I'm mostly conditioned to Lust on all jobs. I haven't optimized this fight down to timings and whatnot, so you're probably correct that it is not needed o/
