its kinda sad the balance doesn’t seem to like anyone that isn’t one of their direct contributors

Shoutout to Klhoe for giving me a gold certificate before Endwalker dropped, this way I managed to sell an ornate chest piece for 21mil gil, funded my FC's house with that.

I've spent the past week levelling Culinarian to 90 to hopefully start making some Gil...I think I may have underestimated what it's going to take to succeed.

It's not bad, Alchemist is more profitable. Potions of strength goes in.

Culinarian and Alchemist are easily the best choices if you're not outright omnicrafting. Just make sure you've got Master Culinarian X and be ready to buy/gather materials for the new combat food.

I don't know why I'm watching this as I don't do savage content (or higher) and I don't even want to... but it's nontheless interesting - and waaaay too much work for me. But I like the way you manage to explain those things - keep it up, you're doing great work

Great video, but wanted to point out a small detail. You mentioned that the 5th meld for accessories is a 7% success rate. This is true for your left side, but 7% is the success rate for an accessory's 4th meld. Their 5th meld is actually 5%! Keep up with the great content and congrats on clearing TOP!!

oops! So even worse than I made it out to be. I haven't melded since last tier lol

Thanks for laying out the savage prep. I only started raiding in Endwalker and honestly I had no idea what I was getting into. Definitely a good vid to give newer players some idea.

I didn't think pentamelding was this crazy thing until I've tried it. I'm so glad I got lucky and managed to pentameld all my pieces for my main job relatively cheap, but there's no way I'm doing that for my other jobs. Raid gear will be just fine, thank you very much.

All of your guides are so helpful, I have your Ninja guide to thank for me going from clueless sprout to savage raider, and this video is going to be even more useful to new players. Thanks so much for all of the great guides!

I'm willing to bet 99% of raiding statics are not FC based

FC is bad option if you want to focus on raids, not saying impossible but mostly its not going to work well, better get people will same mindset and same goal
@Void-qz1zd
@Void-qz1zd Жыл бұрын
I've always found that FCs are better for making friends and doing semi casual stuff like extremes at most, it's much easier to bounce around between different statics since sometimes things just don't work out longterm and you can just find a new one.

It's pretty often someone comes into our FC saying they're looking for a raiding FC. And while many people in my FC do raid, that's not organised through the FC. The FC does social and casual things. Still, it's an expectation many people come in with, maybe from other games.

as a pentameld omnicrafter and pentameld omnigatherer: ngl when I saw the title I was hoping for tips on how to git gud for the fights themselves I was thinking of dipping my feet into savages this patch, but a few weeks ago me and the FC tried to unsync farm the mounts from E4S and, while eventually succeded(-ish), got our asses thoroughly kicked, despite the unsync

That's what other guides have been about. Learning the basics rather than how to gear

@@WeskAlber and I've been watching them, though mostly as a reference of what to aim towards. I was specifically thinking about understanding the changes in approach and mentality compared to normal content, for people who've not done high-difficulty content before and considering giving it a shot, since... even when you can confidently do your rotations and dodge normal mechanics, going into savages raw is quite the shocking and demoralizing experience Not criticizing though, I understand how a pre-gearing breakdown guide like this is also important for those who need it! I mostly learned about all this stuff through my autism in wanting to have the best gear I can get regardless of doing high level content
@WeskAlber
@WeskAlber Жыл бұрын
@@OpXarxa Have you seen stuff like Mechanics: Beyond Memorization? It's basically just that. Mechanics are just faster and might be unique to just that fight. But ultimately it's just processing what info the game gives

If you're ever in doubt about what to meld, Direct Hit Rate, Critical Hit, and some amount of Skill/Spell Speed depending on your job is never a bad option. though I wouldn't max out on Skill/Spell speed unless you're playing specific Jobs because your "Two Minute Window" can be negatively affected by being too fast (Especially for jobs like Summoner)
