Your beginner content has been so helpful for me, getting to know the ins and outs of the game and more specifically the key binds for all the job are amazing. I watched this as my FC is getting ready to beat EX Zoraal Ja and I wanna play Warrior optimally to not ef up. I was honestly surprised that I wss doing most of these already! Only thing I need to really correct is the ordering of some things and actually use Storm's Eye. Who would've thought my unga bunga method would work so well to learn this job XD

Why wouldn't you just Upheavel in the opening sequence since its oGCD? Can't imagine the buff is worth saving 6s on (I could be wrong).

You are waiting on other peoples buffs too, and are not just aligning it for a single use but for the rest of the fight. One correctly timed upheaval will result in the following 4-5 upheavals to also land neatly inside the buff windows

Very small correction, Inner Release enhanced Fell Cleaves and Decimates do not force a critical heal from Bloodwhetting-you can see the normal heal effect from an enhanced Fell Cleave at 14:41. Only the actions that directly state something like "Delivers a critical direct hit [...]" in their tooltip trigger this :P Great video though! I'm currently leveling up Warrior to 100 myself so I'll definitely try and remember these!

Hey, I just double checked on a dummy, and you're right! I remembered it was that way in EW, so I don't know why I mentioned IR Fell Cleave as forcing crit heals in the voice over. I think I confused myself reading the tool tip right before hand again and seeing "critical direct hits". Seems odd that it wouldn't though, I wish they clarified somewhere what the difference between a critical direct hit by Primal Rend etc. and Inner Release enhanced Fell Cleave is. Reading the tooltip definitely gives the impression that it would function the same. That said, it would also be a good addition to the Bloodwhetting tooltip stating that the ability benefits from crit direct hits in the first place.

@Jolsn Oh yeah I fully agree, it's weird it's not mentioned at all in the tooltips or traits menu anywhere, specifically with that distinction between "native" direct hit crits and "added" ones from IR. It feels almost like an oversight though, doesn't it? Since IR enhanced Fell Cleaves and Decimates still benefit from the damage buff they get if an enemy has an effect that increases critical hit rate like Chain Strategem as far as I know

Just one small correction here, Fell Cleave is a gain on 3, you should only use decimate on 4+ targets. The aoe combo is a gain on 3, though. Fell Cleave is 580 potency, Decimate is 180, so only 540 on 3.

Wait, they actually went and changed the potencies for Dawntrail to make Fell Cleave a gain on 3...That almost feels like an oversight

@@Jolsn Maybe, but there are several examples of other jobs whose aoe is only a gain on 4, so... we'll see if they update potencies at all.

For the holmgang macro why are there so many lines for it? I was todays years old when i found out you can change a macro picture to any skill :O

It increases the reactiveness of the macro. If a line doesn't activate, the next one will, rather than you having to press it again. One reason why many players also recommend turning sprint into a macro the same way.

I was somehow having a fever dream while leveling this not understanding how to use infuriate and inner release... Only to finally discover that for inner release, fell cleave =/= inner chaos xd. Feeling dumb ahhh hell
