Ian demonstrates the split elevon setup on his FG36 Legit Wing. This aircraft has been scrapped, but perhaps more will follow.

This is an awesome build. I’m pretty sure this set up is called “Duckerons” like on the B-2 bomber.

I use the same clamshell dragerons on a flying wing sailplane, but I have a servo on each side, but the result is the same.

That's suuuper cool! I bet it took you a ton of work to get the ailerons coordinated when they were moving in the same direction. I wonder, do you think you could have had an acceptable level of control if you just set them up as spoilers instead of elevons? In other words, the top "layer" only moves up and the bottom "layer" only moves down. That way you wouldn't have to worry about binding (other than adjusting the center point), but you'd still have full control with yaw and brakes and all that. Might have to increase throw on either side a little to account for the surface that doesn't move.

I put flaps "flaperons" on a an old slope wing, more like crow adjustment really trying to catch it on gnarly exposed cliffs. Never go it to improve my roll rate.
