That type of combo I practice in training mode like 100 times and land once. Daigo figures it out and then goes into a match and immediately nails it twice.

I mean, it was impressive no doubt, but he just changed the initial moves that should’ve been obvious in the first place. Before that, he started out with just a sonic boom and went straight into VT, the massive scaling started right away and his first non-scaled hit was a single low damage move. Then he started it off again with j.hk, cr.hp, cr.mp before the VT, surely that added a huge chunk of damage
