that is so true because the way my elder at my church explained it when some one is being baptized and the person say in the name of the father-->who's father your father my father..the son--> who's son your father my son..the holy ghost is all titles ...but he began to explain through that Jesus there is healing,deliverance,power in that name..an according to the scripture Acts 2:38

Not to each of it's own. It's only one way. God's way not men. ACTS 2:38 No men without Righteousness shall see the kingdom of God. After you repent and be baptized in one name and that's in Jesus name and truly believe that God can save you meaning being filled with the Gift of the HOLY GHOST. Remember the True tonuges is the evidence of the HOLY GHOST. It's no such thing as having the HOLY GHOST without speaking in tongues. God knows wether or not each person tonuges or real. Tonuges can't be practice or taught. Tongues of the true Holy Ghost is a gift of true salvation. Meaning we have been born again in the spirit of the Holy Ghost. Don't be fooled by Satan. Satan will have us missing out on heaven. Be Blessed. Study the book of ACTS for yourself asking God for understanding knowledge and wisdom. Be Blessed!!!!!

Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. Yes there is the power of GOD unto Salvation, there also comes boldness, tongues, and/or prophesy ect. Sometimes the power doesn't come at salvation sometimes it does. This filling of the Holy Ghost power gives us more than Salvation, it gives us power...The power to become the sons of GOD, power over unclean spirits ect...

Not everything seen in narratives was intended to be taken as a normative pattern for today. This topic requires a bit more thought and inductive study than i feel the preacher has given it. Scripture does not contradict scripture, and Acts 19:2 should not be used to contradict all other instances that PROVES that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers AT CONVERSION. So there must be a different explanation for that passage.

?Where do we find Paul undergoing a separate baptism? And where in Romans thru Philemon does this apostle to the Gentiles teach of such? Paul says in Romans 1:16 that the power of God unto salvation is given to those who believe and he also said that the same Spirit that raised Christ lives within us. He does not teach from what I have studied a separate filling. I know of the passage in Acts and find it odd that Paul who wrote 2/3 of the NT does not teach this to believers in the grace dispensa

No men without Righteousness shall see the kingdom of God. We must be born again in spirit and in truth. @drey204 Nope..evidence does not support what you are saying. First of all repentance happens at conversion. Secondly, Baptism and indwelling are not one in the same. As soon as someone becomes a christian the Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of them. There is ample support for this in the word. Yet the Baptism is mentioned what all of two times? IF you are referring solely to baptism then yes that may be a process leading to the actual event of Baptism but lets be clear on the language here.

@krononomikon Its not about Paul or Bishop Murray, it is about JESUS! If JESUS stop His flow and caused Him to do another thing with the WORD, than we know who's running the show. It's not how much you know or what you know, its how much of it do you have active in your life. Our you a preacher and not a doer or all of the above? Listen! Your right it's all about Jesus and God word that stands True that can't be changed or erased to fit our life or life styles. It's either Holliness or Hell. We must be Born again!!!!! ACTS 2:38. @drey204 For lack of space I will cite the references for you: Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14 , 1 Cor. 6:19, Ephesians 3:16-17, 2 timothy 1:14, Ezekiel 36:26-27, John 14:16-17. So again I say, every TRUE believer has the Holy Spirit on the inside of them. That indwelling takes place at conversion. I am sorry but Murray failed to make the clear distinction between the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the indwelling of the Holy spirit instead making them sound like one in the same.

baptism of the Holy Ghost and Being filled with the Holy Ghost are not the same thing. As soon as someone becomes saved the Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of them. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:9; you can't be a Christian and not have the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, its just not possible.

this guy can't seem to make the connection with the second to last verse and the last verse... the submergence of fire is when all the elements are burned Peter put it like this: that just as the earth was submerged in water, that it was born anew again out of the water, so it is reserved to be burned with fire, that is symbolizing being born again by His mercy, and the wicked then being burned with hellfire. And Jesus, the appointed King, submerged in the Holy Spirit and others with hellfire

ACTS 2:38 We must be born again meaning repenting being baptized in one name and that's in Jesus name and believing before we go down into the water that by the time we come up we're speaking in tongues which is the evidence of the HOLY GHOST!!!!! Remember tonuges can't be taught or practice. God knows each individual and knows wether or not their tongues are real. It's no such thing as even having the Holy Ghost if we never spoke in tonuges that's the word of God that can't be changed or erased to fit our life or life style. Study the book of ACTS asking God to give you understanding knowledge and wisdom of God Holy word. We must have the HOLY GHOST to make it into heaven. No men without Righteousness shall see the kingdom of God. The word of God will never change but the word of God stands and lives forever. Never read bits and pieces of the Bible because you will miss out on most of God word. After you listen to your pastor go home and study the word of God for yourself. True Holliness is God's Way of living. Striving to live Holy. A pure heart is having a Righteous heart. Applying God true word to our everyday life. God is a keeper for those wanting to be keep who's mind stay on Jesus!!!!! Matthew 4:4, Matthew 6:24, Proverbs 6: 16,17,18 and 19. Acts 1:5, Acts 1:8, Acts 2 verses 1-4.
