Infos I missed : One thing i think i didn't reiterate enough that I DISLIKE about kenshin is her overcharge not tied to her anti-man, its the same thing with summer erice anti curse not tied to overcharge all over again and it really hurts min turns and max damage stuff. If you want me to line up the 3 SSR STs we got this year in terms of my personal tier list I would say Draco > zerktoria > Kenshin but they are all very close so its not a super sure answer. Why NP upgrades benefit low NP levels : because upgrades add a flat percentage to NP multipliers. For example : Luvia's NP upgrade is a +300% base multiplier on her NP. At NP 1 her NP goes from 900% to 1200% which is a 33% increase in damage ; At np5 her NP goes from 1500% to 1800% which is only a 20% increase in damage

Let's not forget the fact that Astraea can spook you but Kenshin can't so someone can potentially achieve NP3+ Astraea while rolling on other banners. So, it's even more unfair on Kenshin when you consider that the 'ideal comparison scenario' was NP2 for both. Also, with NP1 Kenshin, her NP definitely feels lackluster and her kit doesn't help her in that regard. It's partly a problem with Extra class as a whole but it still affects Kenshin's actual functional damage. Still the best ST buff-removal-before-ST NP option when the other two are more unwieldy. EDIT: Astraea being permanent was addressed later on in the video, my bad.

One thing you should have mentioned is that Castoria berserker even with Stronger skills than Kagetora is a bit more niche than Kagetora since you need a Team to help her not only loop but also to keep her alive as long as possible while Kenshin doesn´t have that problem for being a Ruler yet not as strong as Draco class advantage. In exchange that Kenshin having the weakest Skills of the 3. She´s the more flexible for having the (Team support) part as an option and not obligatory like Castoria. Wich is amazing since not everybody has regular castoria or a strong Support to keep her alive or having a boss from the 7 main classes to fully use Draco.

Her S2 unless timed well is a demerit by charging the enemies NP gauge by one. But then she can’t time it because her skill 3 actually does nothing if you dont have the grail status from skill 2. She is imo the one that is the most carried by her class and anti servant NP

Castoria is carried by team support but only in the def part for the zerker class since she can spam almost perfectly by herself while Dracon yeah, she has problems on the timing of the skills, and then there´s Kagetora that thanks to her class she can even Do any type of solo but only if it´s one of the 6 class. Overall all good servants yet they have demerits and sometimes are just too annoying to deal with

I remember making a JP account back when they announced Summer 3 and Kagetora came out soon after and I inmediatly fell in love with her, so seeing her now get such a strong and badass 5* version definitely turns Kenshin into my highest priority for that year when she arrives to NA. A bit too soon after Summer Sith tho, since I already expected to walk out of Summer with a new ST Arts DPS and an Arts Ruler :/

As someone with an account that's about to be a year old, she literally allowed me to finally defeat the U Olga Ten wave challenge fight after trying since it's release. I just could not survive Flame U Olga's Invul Pierce but with my NP1 Kenshin I was able to strip away those buffs and finally defeat her. It was glorious and will 100% be grailing her to lv 100, may even try to go for more copies now that I know there won't be any new servants for Christmas. If you are thinking of rolling for her, she is 1000% worth it, if not for amazing animations and voice acting alone. U-E-SU-GI KENSHIN!!

You literally could've used a level 100 Cu(or many other good solo units) and a level 60 Mephistopheles. It's like pressing a win button. Mephistopheles has a three time buff block that never goes away, and Fire Ogla doesn't use many skills.

Buff purge is great without a doubt, one of the strongest effects in the game, but defensive buff purge is weaker than invul pierce in my opinion. I was thwarted by unremovable dodges and invuls one too many times.

Appreciate the length of the video. I can tell that this is a tough servant to discuss when compared with Astraea and Draco and Summer Castoria. If nothing else, at the very least, this video demonstrated how they would shine under different circumstances.

One thing I will say for her comparison to Summer Castoria is that Summer Castoria has some real rough downtime after turn 3, because the lack of her own buff and the lack of Castoria buffs really bring out her bad internals. Kenshin on the other hand, can basically spam her NP extremely easy even without buffs. Now, I still think it’s rough because Berserker is a class that basically has no downside in 2023, but it’s something I felt compelled to point out. I good example of this is the Prison Tower SOLOs that Plushie did with Kenshin and Summer Castoria. Both cleared it easy (Kenshin only had a rough time with Dantes while Castoria was saved a few times by enemies casting skills), but what I’d highlight there is the ease of NP usage. Overall, these are both extremely good servants with one being in the most offensive class, while the other is in the most defensive.

@@shyamakpal depending on the enemy. Kenshin deals more damage to enemies with the "Man" attribute, while Luvia to enemies with the "Evil" attribute. Also, don't forget that Luvia's NP has been strengthened.

My Astraea is NP3, that alone should tell you I chose to skip Kenshin. You can roll for her, but at that point, she's no a must roll unless you really like her.

The argument for who’s better between Bersertoria and Kenshin will be tough. I love how using Castoria with Proto Merlin and even Tamamo has amazing value for challenge quests because you can’t stack anti purge.

I honestly think it will come down to a case by case basis. Bersertoria will probably be slightly better in general (due to class difference), but I can easily image Kenshin being better in a scenario where a boss likes to spam removable self-buffs. Really cool that they have different niches.

I think it all depends on the enemy, for example if they are the usual self buff spamming boss kenshin will most likely do better plus being ruler does help survivability a lot compared to berserker but when they do not spam those buffs or you simply use in farming bastoria will usually take the win

I think another point against Kenshin compared to her competition in Summer Castoria is the availability of Class Score. Ruler class still haven't gotten theirs, and we're not even sure if OC2 will open up Ruler or Avenger class. Meanwhile people who invested in Berserker class nodes should have already maxed it now, which is a huge buff for the class that I think a lot of people often understated. 20% more all card damage, 50% better Extra attack, lots of crit damage in particular, which can really buff up your facecard damage especially if you have good crit game like Summer Castoria. I believe Kenshin will also benefit similarly, especially because she only has 30% crit damage up in her kit, but for now she just can't compete with Summer Castoria when it comes to damage output in my opinion

I'll be honest here: yeah I can see arguments about her in CQ and Hard content but it's pretty close, most people nuke the bosses (even without doing miniturns) or straight up solemn defense-team them. We'll for sure face encounters that she will outperform the other two because of her buff removal niche but when it won't work you'll have to work your way around it but still will have the lesser damage... I can't see a good argument to roll her if you have Dracon or Castoria and especially if you have Draco AND Castoria. But what I wanted to talk is: her farming permance is being overrated by people and A LOT. Her damage will be a problem, even Castoria has to work extra to make some 90++ work; I can't see Kenshin doing it well at all... even with her niche, it won't work well. And Man is terrible for ST farmer because while it can appear a lot on last wave servant it almost never appear on the second wave big HP guy. I cheked all 90++ thiis year and there's just ONE relevant enemy in wave 1 or 2 that was Man: the big Nobu from White Day . I can't see her being a good farmer like you said, at all. The neutral damage is just too low and the niche almost never comes handy. I, myself, personally think she's way worse as farmer, can be a interchangeable in CQ but not enough to justify it (unless you like her, ofc, and hyper invest). The other pros you mentioned just don't sound that relevant, but I can see where you're going.

It's not arguable, Kenshin infact has the absolute best facecards NP gain in the game, not even close. She's the only one with such high NP gain while also being an Art servant, with high self Art buffs both in skill and spammable NP, as well as having NP gain in skill, and being Art means always pair with Castoria and other Art supports like LA, etc. So her NP gain in practice is unmatched, she's like what Saber Medusa would be as an Art servant. Also, her Crit is barely above baseline in most chain for damage, both in various team and solo, so it's hardly significant, mostly just for gain. I don't think Ruler is a very good class for her. As a neutral dps, she's much better off being Avenger, as even having the lowest atk of Avenger already net her +10% higher dps, and I don't think taking neutral most of the time is a big deal. Ruler is also the most common Extra class, while MC basically doesn't exist whatsoever, meaning being Avenger give her the advantage to deal with a tough class, but never has disadvantage. I don't think her buff removal is anything too relevant, because almost everything nowaday or even years before already unremoved, at most you'd usually remove irrelevant stuffs, and that doesn't feel great. I think in general, the worst thing about her (beside the lazy NP animation), is that she's another dps, that's it. Being Ruler is not amazing, but being another pure neutral dps that rely on niche to really perform is even worse. That I think is just a problem with these extra class, because every neutral dps not name Erice all fall super flat in damage when not facing their anti-traits, which don't usually have wide enough coverage to be real deal. Anti-Man is the best alignment niche, but still very niche as it's alignment based, and even against Man her dmg is not that insane either, case in point, Medusa against Man actually eclipses Kenshin dmg even on neutral. Also, where is the big support for this year though? They keep making these trait reliant dps, but they better off being supports instead. Atleast Kenshin being a dps still make sense based on lore, and nowhere near as much of a big disappointment as Summer Castoria.

Luvia is better for sheer nuking potential due to a number of reasons. She has an upgraded NP, evil alignment can be forcibly applied to anyone thanks to Moriarty, her SE scales based on overcharge and it's incredibly easy to get OC levels, and finally the enemy has a harder time countering invul pierce compared to buff removal. Kenshin, however, is much easier to use thanks to her innately higher NP gain, larger battery, hard survival and targetable OC

It really comes down to Astraea already existing for me. You are very likely to have Astraea at NP5, while the only way to guarantee Kenshin at an NP level higher than 1 is to wait for her annual rerun banner. Add to that her NP strengthening and her anti-trait actually being applicable to any boss thanks to Ruler James and Nito Alter, and you have to do way more work with Kenshin to outdamage her. Sure, her utility can trivialize a bunch of challenge quests, but not having her is not going to make those quest impossible, that's not how they are designed. In the worst case, you can just borrow her from a friend. I'll give her a few rolls if Rikyuu comes home tomorrow, but I'm not going to lose my mind if I fail to pull her. My account is stacked enough to not worry about a universal ST Arts farmer.

I really like her Design and looping, but I really despise her low damage. At low NP levels she is almost unjustifiable for me, especially since her anti-niche is something I almost never see. I do think she is a valuable pickup for established accounts or if you can NP2+ her, but generally I would just try to counterclass instead.

Her anti- trait is like 41% of enemies. That is almost the same as class advantage against 3 of the seven main classes (42%). and against Man attribute enemies she hits as hard as full class advantage on her NP, (using self buffs chart comparing everyone at NP2 to mitigate the difference of an upgraded NP, no arts sabers, archers, lancers, riders, or casters outdo her damage against man attribute enemies.

I would use her mostly as a flexible ST Arts bosskiller, but upon seeing the numbers on the NP dmg calculator, I saw her being outdamaged by most of the decent ST Welfares when counterclassing. I might also be biased, because I use Draco and Artoria Caster Berserker.

Hotter take: she's a completely pointless addition to the roster, she's just another looper, and there's already a billion other ones. You'll have more fun with Luvia and still be able to do the same stuff as Kenshin. Alternatively, you can use Kriemhild, does the same loopy bullshit and is more fun to use. Unless you have LITERALLY NO ALTERNATIVE, don't get her. She is a waste of saint quartz, otherwise. Also, Plushie, please stop wasting our time with a farming section. Literally no one cares, she's a single target character and the only time that's useful in farming is when you have strong supports and at that point, you have so many other options that she's unnecessary. When she's good in farming, it's the supports that do the heavy lifting. So it's a waste of time. In AOE contexts, it is slightly more worthwhile but considering the fact FGO never gets new players anymore, even that is kind of a waste of time because everyone has fifty other options or more. Like, no one cares who does the dishes better, they just want the dishes to get done.

She is not just a looper lol i spent the entire 24 minutes explaining how she is good in CQs. Also no not everyone can do the same job in multi core farming when its highly dependent on anti traits, team utility and battery amount. I alr kept the farming part very brief and if you want to dumb down every servant to “just a looper” simply because they can loop idunno why you are watching this.

Just take the overcharge thing for example : overcharge is specifically good with tonelico and its not something someone like draco or kriem can provide in a comp no matter how well they farm individually as single target arts.

@@PlushieMistress I'm not sure why you needed to comment twice, Sir Plushie, but I do not stand corrected. She's just loopy nonsense with buff removal, that's not anything to write home about. Is she good if you're not looping? Well, yes, simply being in the Ruler class kinda guarantees that. But if you look at her kit, it's very blatantly loopy nonsense. She's designed to loop and that is a tired troop, It's boring, and if we're really that desperate for not dealing with buffs- not only do we have Fuuma and the clown's buff block, we have Alex's buff purge on demand, or we can just bring a support Ivan or something like that and make the best setup we can for that. We can use random's NPs now, remember? So this servant is honestly not worth getting unless you don't have alternatives, even outside of farming. There's not anything fun in her kit. She's not Protea, she's not Mori, she's not Constantine, she's not Tametomo or anything unique like them. She's just five star, loopy nonsense, waifu but ruler and buff removal. That isn't that special. I would rather her have an NP that you're lucky to use every other turn but it's a nuclear bomb, and can do respectable crit damage in the meantime. Like a single target five star Babbage, kinda, and maybe instead of a boring battery, you do NP gain on crit or maybe NP gain on receiving damage. That's something worth the saint Quartz, because that's actually a bit unique and isn't basically splitting hairs between "A+ loopy nonsense and A++ loopy nonsense" Because, don't lie to me, no one is rolling for her and not trying to get her to loop. But the thing is, they already have what they need to handle whatever it is that she's good for. It's like giving them a cheat sheet for a test they already know the answers to, so that's going to facilitate boredom in a lot of players. She just isn't worth rolling for, it doesn't matter if she's good or not. Good =/= fun, and this is a video game. You're wasting your time if you aren't having fun and Kenshin isn't that fun. She functions very similar to the vast majority of arts loopers, if the buff removal isn't needed, and so she feels like "Saito but a waifu ruler lol". Though I will concede that having the buff purge tied to a low cooldown skill rather than the NP would go a nice distance towards remedying that, as you have to think about if you want to use her skill that turn or save it for a bit, and it makes a nice synergy with Tamamo. You could also make some nice dual core comps that work Koyan Light into them and her the CD reduction from her on Kenshin, instead. Regardless, as it stands, I cannot advise people rolling for her unless they just don't have other options
