I think you are misinterpreting Caster of Okeanos. She is not meant to be used in arts teams nor to be a support. She is a buster servant and similar to Xuanzang, she is meant to be the main damage dealer. Her skill set is to provide help for her supports like Merlin/Waver/Shakespiere. She is really good in challenge quests and that is good if you don't have other offensive casters. I would not recommend to use her as a star generator support like caster Gil, or as a buffer support.

Which is a damn shame because i wanted to choose her from our upcoming ticket because I desperately want an offensive caster to pair with my Merlin and Tamamo, but it looks like I'll just have to settle for an NP 2 Saberlot or NP2 Lalter. Feels bad..

Daniel Sanchez I love her but being main DPS? You gotta be joking, in the video when she uses her Np (which it was Np4 btw) her damage falls short on less than 70 k, but her utility for stalling and doing back to back np will be in her favor but still as a staller not a damage dealer.

Daniel Sanchez Even for someone like xuanzang can still be as a semi support dude. Due to her last skill offering amazing team buff; so you’re just selling both her and caster of Okeanos short for needing to stay as a “main damage dealer” as their best option. I have to give sober oni points for recommending caster of okeanos in an arts team, because of her horrible base np gain, with tamamo and casgill buff will really offset that plus with her chain NPAA (with crits needed) she will be able to whipped out another np next turn with star floating bc of her’s and casgil star gen buff. Also, last to remind you that as veteran person myself, when you advance more into the game having explosive one turn k.o won’t mean anything when enemies have 3 bars or more for you to break; which becomes essential for servant to able to keep their np back to back and play the long game which is why arts team with works well for Circe (because of pig stun too)

I do agree that she was meant to be a 4* Sanzang but her low damage and NP gain kinda hinders her from fulfilling that. However, she isn't really meant to be a support either. Her kit isn't really very support-like. I honestly think they should have just made her 2nd skill a poison+charisma and her 3rd skill a debuff clease+buster up/star absorb/NP gain up (pretty much anything that helps NP gain or damage) instead. Abby seems to fall into this role as well, though at least she has her anti-berserker role to give her a more primary function.

I mean, you would want to roll for her for all the BACON she gives you. Also the lower NP gain COULD be a lore reason as she would wait patiently to spring her traps on travelers to turn them into pigs. But that's just my thoughts on it. Her first skill could also be a reference to basically saying she could spring her trap WHENEVER SHE WANTS but she enjoys "the hunt" if you will.

I'm happy that you can really use anyone in the game well in normal missions and story, as she and Abigial are the ones I have been wanting to roll on. Caster here is just so cute, love her animations, and the pig stun is just fun. Shes going on my more for fun DoT/Debuff team.

I just love her design, it's just SO good, Though, I do prefer form 1 and 2 though, she must be really sensitive on her height though to wear THAT lifted of shoes though, LOL. I'd love to use her more since she's NP2 and her Pig status is hilarious, but more often than not I just use Sitonai or Berserker's to kill Assassin's, which is sad, screw that stupid Caster damage modifier....

Her damage for that is absolutely potato at NP1. She barely goes above 20k neutral damage. If you want a ST Assassin kiler, just use Mecha Eli from last Halloween. At free NP5 and her third skill maxed she deals 60k damage neutral, and even if you factor in class advantage she outdamages Circe (20k *2 = 40k and 60k *1.5 = 90k). Even with two back to back NPs Circe STILL loses in damage to Mecha Eli.

And still doesn't change the fact that there is a lack of ST casters, best bet is Shuten Caster Welfare coming next year.

I just got her off a ticket. At least she can stun easily and lower their defense but the fact that the "pigify" stun doesn't work on bosses makes me sad. I'll probably be using her in those rare situations when debuffing the opponents are necessary and vice versa if I need to heal my team from debuffs often in certain battles.

Nezha was a Story Support Servant during the 3rd and 4th chapters of the 2nd Story arc. Circe is more in a hard spot due to her Class. If you have a Caster you mostly see Supports like Waver, Merlin or Skadi. Rarely you see a Tamamo.

Okay sorry but what? A C? No offense but I kind of feel like you missed the whole point of her kit. Not only did you not list her best CE (Black Grail), but you also failed to mention her best support: Merlin. I know he's busted for everyone and you don't like talking about him, but they have a ton of synergy. Her ability to NP back to back coupled with Merlins AoE Invincible means you get three free turns every so often. Combine that with both of them having triple Arts and you get into a situation where the enemy can't touch you for most of the battle. Not to mention that her NP is going to hit like a truck with him backing her up. There is a reason she has an A+ ranking (just below Kintoki Rider and Heracles) on the 4-star list from Appmedia you know. Wanna see an extreme example? Take a look at this *no damage* run on the Challenge Quest from GudaGuda 3: /watch?v=hF_cdd_DUb4 Circe may be a jack of all trades and (seemingly) a master of none, but I can't help but feel you underestimate just how powerful that stun of hers actually is.

merlin is a given no other reviewers would say his name cause it's basic common knowledge at this point. merlin has synergy with everyone. she's a good servant yes but there are better caster servants that could fill in what you really need and with better utility. i always say that a good caster is when you don't need to build a team around them. and with caster's okeanos low np gain you need to babysit her and i might remind you assassin enemies only has 3 turn np charge and of course we're not counting gimmick fights that would make it harder for her to be of use if i'm asked to fix her i'll change the pig effect to np block instead with atk decrease even if it's just a little. she'll be more useful blocking np use and charge against assassins is more beneficial and gives you a 2 more turns of wiggle room to finish off the fight rather than a stun which only gives you one turn and you have to time it as well too. unlike a np block you could just use it straight out of 1st turn and it'll be more beneficial so you could charge up your np and do it again.

Not just that, but Circe has bad NP gain right? What would help with that, other than art chains (hello Circe and Merlins 3 arts cards)? Oh right, the 5% per turn from Merlins NP. Oh, Merlin's invincibility is on cooldown? That's fine, just stun the enemy so they can't do anything (like NP) for 2 turns, oh hey, look, it's off cooldown now. Circe also stalled the MHXA CQ in gil fest extremely well too. The C ranking is baffling. Honestly, she's the best of the Salem servants, easily out classing the other 4 stars Nezha and Sheba, and is honestly more useful to a master with a good roster than Abby is. Yet here she's been giving a lower rank than them.

Mao Sama Circe by far has the best synergy with Merlin than any other servant 1. Deck synergy check 2. Her NP can stun lock for 2 turns making it perfect to stall until illusion is of cool down since it has 7T 3. Merlin offsets her biggest weakness her NP gain making her np a more reliable way of survival. You are forgetting that a stunned Enemy can’t even attack you. No bs crits no annoying skill spam and no 6k buster non crit damage,,, and NP seal can in no way compensate for all of that 4. Ce flexibility thanks to her instant np she has amazing synergy with black grail,,, the strongest damaging CE in the game,, she can make perfect use of hero creation and black grail with her double NP strat similar to sanzou a fucking top tier buster servant and then some. Conclusion. Circe is a top tier arts buster hybrid that excels at high damaging SQs like Gilfesf MHXA boss fight and the 300 spartan fight,, she can also partake in assassin boss fights thanks to her excellent battery and synergy with various supports.

My general criteria for evaluating servants is, if you need to say "X is good with Merlin" then they aren't really good and Merlin is carrying them lol. That speaks more to Merlin being broken than it does to Caster being great, which is why I never mention Merlin in reviews. Because if I had to rate servants based on how good servants are when paired with Merlin/Skadi/Waver everyone would be S tier. Outside of double Merlin her damage is really unimpressive. I get that is what works in JP, if you have double Merlin and Caster and go to a CQ you are near immortal and will do tons of damage. But that only accounts for 1% of the game and a small portion of players who even have Merlin. When I review I take into account how the servant performs in a wide range of teams and situations, not just CQ and with broken supports. And outside of that specific team comp and in CQ, Caster is very mediocre as a support and as a damage dealer. I don't think it's fair to give her an A+ rating if she is only good for one specific thing that accounts for such a small portion of the game, especially since these videos also cater to new players and F2P players. For challenge quests, yes I agree she's top tier A material. But everywhere else, she's just mediocre and if I give her a high score knowing that and some new player spends 600sq rolling her only to find out he can't do anything with her because he doens't have Merlin and she doesn't help him clear story missions any better than a 3* caster I'd feel guilty about it lol

Kinda disappointing she can't NP spam better as a 4* but I suppose it's a good Scathach level NP that should be hard to get, and they also give her Divine Word Casting for a free NP from zero after already using one. I wish her overcharge was more interesting, if Medea gets overcharged from her NP she gets her next one cheaper which is pretty nice. Maybe if her defense down were stronger in an interlude or tack something else onto Sailing which doesn't help Arts team NP spam or stall so much. Well, just about everyone will have Robin Hood and Medea for a small casual team for general use.

She's usable in NA, the appmedia tier list is different, it's based on how good a servant is for CQ. That's not how I rate them. In CQ Caster is excellent because of the double stun, but CQ only makeup 1% of the actual game so I think it's a bit misleading to rate her so highly when she's mediocre everywhere else.

G&A Reviews even in story content she is perfectly usable as her flaws can be easily compensated for,, her 120% charge makes her a prime candidate for black grail nukes and Merlin teams, her 3Arts deck also synergies with his for unlimited arts chains and she can protect him from annoying BS crits and debuffs while nuking the enemy over and over again,, whenever I see an assassin boss the first thing that comes to mind is nuke them,, but with no real buster caster with a battery that isn’t sanzou it’s nearly impossible,, a prime example of a situation like this is the ereshkigal fight in Babylonia and the big annoying ghosts.

Afterall, tier lists are just guides made by some peeps on the internet. It's not the real spec on how strong a servant is. While I often use her for farming and also CQ, I can also accept oni's reason to rank her so low. So just stick to any tier list you like.

@@acertainbastard5579 I didn't say she was unusable, and yes her flaws can be compensated for which is why I listed good team options. I don't evaluate servants based on how well they perform with Merlin, every buster servant is going to be super OP and do nuke damage with Merlin. That's not because Caster is so strong, it's because Merlin is a broken support, which is why I prefer to not bring him up in my reviews because he almost literally breaks the game. But as TCG said, I'm just giving my opinion and reasoning, and most of this video is dedicated to how to use Caster to the best of her ability. The ratings I give at the end are just a general guideline, don't let that distract you from the analysis / tips which imo are far more important

I watched the video but Oni, give it to me straight. I desperately want an offensive caster to pair as my main damage dealer with my Tamamo and Waver. Could she fill the roll? Or is she just not strong enough? Because I do have Saberlot and Vlad, both already amazing Arts damage dealers, so should I just stick with them and forget about Ms.Piggy? I also have a K-Scope. Because I was gonna choose her for the free SR ticket since I already have anyone else I could want from it, and if she isn't good then I'd just have to choose to Np2 my Saberlot or Lalter.

I feel like Oni often forgets CEs with Buster up + NP gen exists, like Conquering the Great Sea of Stars and a few others. Also why not Black Grail? I usually agree with most of his spotlights, but I feel like he didn't do her justice here. C is too harsh, like other people mentioned, he missed the point of her kit.

But I love Conquering the Great Sea of Stars lol. I didn't recommend any damage CEs because her damage really isn't that good, unless you double Merlin or something. Maybe it's whiplash from just having reviewed Midrash but comparing Midrash Casters damage to Okeanos Casters damage is night and day

@@GAReviews Fair enough. I know you don't like to bring Merlin to the table during the videos, but their synergy really is a strong point to consider. She has a lot of utility and helps him with the cooldowns and he does his Merlin things. She also is the only ST buster caster that is not a 5* at this point, and being able to np at will can save you a lot by giving you a free turn of cooldown. I love my birb to death and I know she's not perfect, I just feel like C wasn't really a fair rating. I know her damage is lacking comparing to Midrash, but I'd put in scale the utility she has in her kit.

Cute birb alert. I really wish her stun did something more than just... be a stun. Give it some kind of extra benefit to it. something like pig'd enemies taking extra damage, or maybe their buffs stop working for the duration. I mean, that'd make sense, right? You're not evading or being invulnerable while you're a pig. Alternatively, something in the skills that gains something out of it would work. Literally anything to make her stand out more, please.

Except she's not, this is honestly just a poor sighted review. There's a reason appmedia rates her as A+ for ST 4 stars (with only Herc and Kintoki Rider above her) because her back to back stun with general great CQ supportive skills are just extremely useful.

The Appmedia tier list rates her high because of the stuns and because it evaluates servants solely on how they perform in challenge quests. I don't. So while I agree that her double stun is excellent for CQ and tough content, 99% of the game isn't that so it seems kinda silly to rate her so highly. As a general support, outside her stuns, she doesn't offer much.

@@GAReviews Except they don't? Appmedia has the loopers/farmers of Zerkerlot as SS, Parv, valks, Mordred and Nito as S, with MeltLancer and Astolfo as S-. NONE of those are for CQs. If you're just talking ST then why is Kintoki rider an S? He's not made for CQs at all, just farming. The ST 4 star A tier is a massive mix of farming and CQ type servants. In fact, for A+ is even says the reason "Servant among the top in the same rarity comparison also applicable but also comparable to the highest in-one thing". I don't think you should be saying it solely rates servants on how they perform on CQs, because that's flat out not true.
