Gentlemen I am pleased to report that my rolls bore fruit. I acquired np2 Ibuki, an Odysseus spook, a Mordred spook, np3 Medea Lily, np2 Watanabe no Tsuna, np1 Ashiya Douman AND 3 copies of Black Grail all in less than it takes to reach pity even once. This. "Muramasa is better" is a dated view born from a set of smug fans wanting to forever rub it in the face of people who pulled for Ibuki because her meta support wasn't out yet. For some reason though, now that all 3 card types are on a pretty even playing field, only Muramasa fans seem stuck in a 2-year old view of the meta. Similarly, I kept telling people for a year that Okitan was in the same league with Muramasa and Ibuki, but Skadi was the issue, and as soon as S. Skadi came out it was like "Wow, Okitan is really good!"

Yes you're finally talking about the snake girl that I've been liking ever since I 1st discovered this girl! 1st form very headpatable 2nd form very huggable and cough cough other things cough cough and the 3rd form....... God the voice can make me feel things so much. And what makes even better she has a summer variant that somehow takes all of her sexy qualities and takes it up to 11. Ibuki Douji is easily my favorite version of Shuten and that has not changed and excellent look into her!

I've been singing praises for almost every 5* Servant released over the last few months, and I wish I could do the same for Ibuki. No, really - I'm a huge fan of Kintoki's story and have been waiting for Ibuki's release ever since that tease in Shuten's interlude, but unfortunately, my impressions two years later are... pretty mixed. Design-wise, she's three different Servants smushed into one, and although that does allow everyone to just pick the one you like the most (second ascension is the best btw), it does feel like her identity suffers as a result. Gameplay-wise, she came in the awkward window where I couldn't utilize her effectively due to her requiring new mats for ascending and missing good Buster farming support, and by the time I had both of those things, Muramasa already filled her niche on my account (he even took her 50% battery! One of her main selling points!). And that's before you even consider that good old King of Knights is still one of the best farmers in class. I wish I could use her more often, but alas, she's basically a box cheerleader for me. Speaking of cheerleaders, man am I glad her Summer version exists. Much more consistent design, stronger identity, obviously broken kit - seeing her in tier lists and people's parties just fills me with joy every single time. If only her event was as good...

I'm nailing down my list for that eventual time into five Servants: - Tametomo, basically a Fate Gundam aside from Ushi's more sensible uncle - Kriemhild, for my boy Siegfried and the two deserve to be together - Summer Erice, since it's her using her casual attires from the novel, also she's very happy - Arcueid, *because Arcueid* - Britomart, cause elf fairy Exo Squad that also looks like a Gundam is NOT something you pass up _But I agree, all the Servants released this year in JP are such a goddamn magnets!_ 😩 I doubt I'll resist the temptations...

@@Liolaeusu That's really not true. Don't get me wrong, Ibuki is great, but Artoria is a better farmer. An NP3 Artoria outdamages NP5 Ibuki. And even when the later hits against her niche, I believe they only become comparable in damage. Artoria will still hit harder on T3 thanks to her upgraded 2nd skill. If both are at NP1, the damage gap is very apparent. And keep in mind that Artoria is in the general pool while Ibuki is limited.

I don't think Muramasa is lightyears ahead of Ibuki, they are comparatively even and the difference in power level comes down more to team comp than anything else. If you put Ibuki in the ideal team (Vitch/Oberon) and are JUST talking farming then yes she is a little bit better than Muramasa would be in a double Castoria team due to her higher damage. But I don't evaluate servants just based on their best teams and whale comps, I factor in ease of use and viability in other areas too. And for as much as Ibuki beats Muramasa out in farming, he beats her out more in challenge quests and any kind of boss fight scenario. He's also easier to team build around and get to his max potential, whereas Ibuki is gonna need two extremely rare servants that not everyone is gonna have. So this comes down to context more than anything else, but on the whole I give Muramasa the edge since he's easier to build around and is better for non-farming content while still being comparatively as good for farming.

@@GAReviews I’m gonna be honest here, not including teams into your judgement of a servant is a major problem. Team building is what fgo gameplay is all about, if you were just going to rate them as individuals half the servants in the game wouldn’t be worth the roll on paper whereas they’d be a must roll/really good to roll when in a team. Dantes is an example of this. I used to have the same mindset on rating a servant but i realised it’s just not a viable way of thinking. And on the topic of ease of use in battles and effectiveness, I genuinely don’t see how muramasa can be ahead of ibuki apart from from pre buster looping farming (but even then there’s a case for ibuki in some circumstances). This is coming from me with an np5 muramasa and only a np1 ibuki. Just on paper they can be compared quite easy but when actually using them, man there is a whole world of difference, and ibuki is just the more viable option. Ibuki having more damage, 3 turn buffs rather than 1 turn buffs the list goes on. You also say ibuki requires 2 very rare servants but the thing is muramasa also needs limited servants to do what he does. And you can always use a friend for 1 of the characters you don’t have. And in challenge quests I don’t see how muramasa beats ibuki either especially if you take into consideration that most CQs these days restrict double servants ( i.e double castoria). And if I’m gonna be completely honest, the way you talk about muramasa, it feels like you haven’t actually use him that much. I could be wrong and I would like to be proven wrong

Not to ad hom, but I've seen how you handle "challenging" content, and don't think you are really in your zone for this one. In what regards do you consider Mura to be better at Ibuki in challenging fights? I've stated before that their kits are nearly identical, however the small differences in their kits and card types lend to Ibuki being the superior CQ/Boss fighter as well. For example, Mura's invul pierce, star gather, and mana burst are on a 1T duration vs Ibuki's 3T mana burst and her invul pierce always being granted with her NP. Ibuki doesn't have star gather, HOWEVER, Koyan does. 3Ts of it. Ibuki's star bomb is bigger and her supports come with star bombs on skills which leads to more flexibility with CE choices. Mura, being arts, means that he is subpar at producing stars (yes, even with his 100% star gen buff) and Caltria not having a star bomb further makes critting with him more of a chore vs the comparable the ease at which Ibuki can do it. Especially if we are talking non-TAs where consistent star gen would require CEs like 2030 as opposed to CE that would benefit the team more. Ibuki's support also lowers her CDs, so you are going to see her skills come into play more often. I will say the only aspect that Mura does come ahead in these sorts of fights is stalling, given that his support better lends herself to it than Ibuki's. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >"He's also easier to team build around and get to his max potential, whereas Ibuki is gonna need two extremely rare servants that not everyone is gonna have." I would think the point of these videos would be to inform those not in the know so they might make wise choices/investments in the future. That way, when Anni comes around (and all the SQ with it) people can get those "rare servants" instead of effectively wasting their rolls on a suboptimal servant. Seems like the wise choice to me. I think I have adequately given an abridged explanation as to why Ibuki has the edge on Mura for CQs/Boss fights, but I believe it bares repeating that for a low invested/FTP account, Jason supplements a NP1 Mura's farming role. Where as Ibuki doesn't have a low-star alternative. And if the argument then is Mura is better at CQs and boss fights than Jason, I would then posit that there is a wide plethora of servants (including Ibuki) who surpass him so it would be more beneficial to use Jason for your Arts Saber farming needs and a stronger aoe servant for CQs/Boss fights.

@@Hawkiiiiii15 I do include teams into my judgement, I just don't only look at the most broken team, I weigh the servant's performance across available supports. For example back when the Skadi meta was big I didn't give the Valks an A because outside of Skadi comps they were mediocre and I factor that in. An "OP" servant in my mind is one that excels even without broken supports, for example Morgan or Arjuna Alter, even outside of the ideal team comp they are still better than 99% of servants. To use your example of Dantes, Danets was OP in Skadi comps back during the Skadi meta, but even outside of just Skadi looping he was still a decently good servant so I gave him an A instead of an S rank and got a ton of shit for that too lol. When I say ease of use I also refer to the team comps. Let me put it this way, when I make a spotlight I make it from the perspective of casual players and newer players just as much as I do hardcore players. So I don't assume everyone has all the latest and greatest supports. If a brand new player picked up FGO and had no Castoria/Vitch/Oberon/Merlin etc... how easy would it be to build a team around Ibuki vs Muramasa. Now this is relative because either way both servants are so strong you can use them with garbage supports and still succeed, but you'd get more out of Muramasa than Ibuki with F2P and low rarity or off-meta supports than you would Ibuki. You can farm some nodes with Muramasa using a friend's Castoria and your own Paracelsus for example, whereas with Ibuki you can't. You NEED Oberon/Vitch to farm efficiently. And not everyone is gonna have them. So I factor both the ceiling of a servant's power and the floor. And even though I agree Ibuki has a higher ceiling I think Muramasa has a higher floor. As for the CQs, they both have the same utility, invincibility pierce/def pierce and Muramasa has offensive buff removal vs Ibuki's NP seal. I think they are both even in CQs based on their kits, but arts in general has better CQ supports than buster and much more variety. Even without double castoria you have proto-merlin, jeanne, tamamo etc... there are tons of arts supports for every situation whereas there are only a few buster supports geared toward longer battles and they have less variety. For example compare the amount of buster supports who have AoE cleanse and invincibility compared to arts supports. Arts also has castoria's NP which is the bets form of protection in the game. I'm actually curious how much you've used Muramasa, because I'd like to know how you rate him. Muramasa is popular so I get the cool thing is to hate on him but I'm trying to be as objective as possible, I'm not just gonna hate on a servant because it's popular to do lol.

For one thing even if there is a low rarity alternative that can do one job of an SSR just as well that doesn't make that SSR useless or inferior, you have to judge the entire character on all their merits not just bits and pieces to cross compare to other servants. For example using your logic, Lu Bu at NP5 deals more damage to bosses than Ibuki so why would you ever use Ibuki as a damage dealer when Lu Bu exist etc... Of course you can rebutt by giving specific scenarios where Ibuki is better but I can do the same with Muramasa so this argument goes nowhere. How is the servant as a WHOLE compared to the other as a WHOLE, and in that regard Muramasa is 100x better as a whole servant than Jason is and Muramasa can do much more so it really doesn't matter if Jason is comparable at one specific job under ideal circumstances. I'm not a big fan of the hypothetical game because FGO is setup in a way where you can say any servant is hypothetically better than another if you only focus on certain aspects of the game and adjust team comps and NP levels. But more importantly, do you really wanna make the argument that if a better alternative exist to a servant that they shouldn't be rated highly? Ok, so then drop Ibuki's rating down even further because Arcuied and Morgan exist and they do her job 10x better lol. If I were to use your logic, the "ideal tier list" where I only judge a servant based on how they perform in the optimal whale accounts, then every farmer but Arc gets an F. Why use any other buster farmer when NP5 Arc + Vitch + Oberon farms literally everything in the game? There is no such thing as the perfect tierlist, this is just my analysis based on what I value in the game and it's catered to both casual / new players as well as vets so it ahs additional factors. Not everyone is gonna agree with it, and that's fine, but honestly I think we are splitting hairs here because I only have Muramasa up by a millimeter on Ibuki and it seems like that just rubs you the wrong way, no need to take it personally. As for the personal attack on how I play the game, listen, I play how I want to play. I like to have fun. I drink, have chat choose my teams, play recklessly, use my favorite servants, and half the time I play FGO I am more engaged with my chat than I am with the game. If you don't like that and want to watch someone who is more "professional" and plays the game seriously, then fine, watch them. there are plenty of great content creators in FGO who do that, Honako, Touhou, etc... They are great players and love to challenge themselves. And I think that's good. But just like how it would be dumb of me to go into their comments section and tell them how I think they should play, it's dumb for you to do the reverse. Let people enjoy the game they way they want to. If you don't like how I play FGO and don't think my advice is good, then why are you here watching this video? Don't get me wrong, views are views, hate watchers are welcome, but it just feels like you could be more productive with your time.

In terms of power, OG Seiba out-damages Ibuki if she has all her buffs up (which in a Koyanskaya system would be turns 1 & 3) and this is not like NP1 Artoria does more damage than NP1 Ibuki, its more like NP2 Artoria does more damage than NP5 Ibuki (unless undead). To compensate for this Ibuki is more consistent in her damage (her damage doesn't fall on turn 2) and she has ignore defense and invul, which is a fair trade of imo.

That's not even a bad thing since Artoria is the only aoe saber who has a stronger aoe np than Ibuki until Alteras buff. (Muramasa needs a BG to beat her or Oberon) Outside of farming its not even a competition, Ibuki beats her in face card damage all day.

I was lucky enough to get Ibuki Douji in just 1multi,my luck with SSRs have been insane lately,i have gotten around 10 SSRs since the beginning of this year,and i still have enough SQ to hit pitty of Koyan light,lmao FGO has been great to me lol

I dunno about calling Muramasa straight up "better" than Ibuki, once Koyan of Light comes around she can farm irregular waves easier seeing as she doesn't have to worry about refund and she does more damage to begin with. Pretty sure once we reach that point she can farm anything he can.

But Ibuki is 5CE and Muramasa runs 6CE. If you're worried about 1/1/x, Muramasa can do those with 50% CE (same efficiency as Ibuki's in that case) and plug Oberon/50% Charger depending on the enemies you're fighting. But they're both shit for farming now, in JP.

@Kun I mean 6CE farming vs 90+ node consistency. 50% starring charge CEs aren't uncommon in events either. Ibuki's not reliant on enemy count which is very good. In CQs her buffs also last longer, and her damage is way more consistent, not to mention the Invulnerability pierce on her np instead of a 1 time skill comes up a lot more often then you may think.

@@danielguardado4574 Like I said before, if you account for event 50% CEs, Muramasa (or any other arts servant for that matter) can do even 1/1/x. CC+O is 170% in batteries, plus 50%+20% from Muramasa's append and battery already give you 240% in batteries alone; which means you only need 60% refund off W1 and W2 to secure the triloop (30% from each wave). Muramasa can easily run 6CE CC+O against anything that is not 1/1/x Zerks and Assassins, which he needs starting gauge for. If you're allowing for a 50% CE (which Ibuki uses 100% of the time) that's already 290% in gauge and you only need 10% refund off a wave to complete the triloop. Yeah, so even accounting for the events giving 50% CEs, Muramasa is still generally better than Ibuki for 90+ farming. In CQs, Ibuki is equally as bursty as Muramasa; her main steroid is hit-based and can be consumed by a brave chain alone while his lasts only for 1T. The recurring invuln pierce is nicer compared to Muramasa's 1T but, Mura has better ramping buffs vs Ibuki's post-NP debuffs and it's easier for him to get off an NP compared to Ibuki, who's reliant on batteries. Muramasa also has the better support, which gives him better steroids, defensive utility and immunity to debuff gimmicks. I think Ibuki and Muramasa are equal to each other in CQ applications but when you account for Castoria vs Koyan...yeah I think Muramasa edges her out.

@@AuraFarmerPiccolo I didn't say that she couldn't. If you're allowing for a event 50% CE, Muramasa can 6 slot everything. Hell, he has the best loop specs out of the top-tier 90+ Arts farmers due to how "Blaze" works, so he only needs starting gauge against 1/1/x assassin and Zerks, so he can work without starting gauge (CC+O) against everything else. So you tell me who's the superior farming servant; the one who's 6-slot applications are broader, has less action intensive farming setups and workable damage or the one who has slightly superior damage but has a rigid loop spec that is dependent on factors out of your control for maximum effeciency? If damage is your only nitpick here, Artoria should be superior to them both, but you're rarely hear people bring that up, do you? No the flexibility of Arts in farming is extremely invaluable. The best farming setups have always been arts for that reason alone, even in 90++.

Been saving quartz, mats, and xp for a while for this Snek. I can't wait to have her home with her fellow Raita servants. Also, 2nd ascension best ascension. Sweaters are hot... literally!

The thing with Muramasa is that he needs a black grail and Oberon to beat an Ibuki with double koyanskaya and Oberon. She already has a stronger np than Muramasa due to having the 2nd strongest aoe np until Altera's buff. She can outcrit him pretty easily due to all the multiplicative buffs she has with large scaling and her kit is better for cqs than Muramasa's, she also has some form of survivability. It also doesn't help that damage wise Muramasas main skill for np damage is 1 turn, meaning she will have consistently higher damage than him for 2 waves and will probably beat him wave 3 if you Don't run bg. (Bg means you can't 6 slot, ibuki has a 50% battery so she is actually one of the buster farmers who can 6 spot.) Another thing not helping Muramasas case is that Jason actually competes with him on JP now without grail investment for damage. After having used both Ibuki and Muramasa Ibuki beats Murmasa at everything he does once Koyanskaya comes out, until then she's still a better crit damage. Also needing plug isn't a valid counterargument as we can skip the animation now. (I already know there's going to be 1 Muramasa fanboy who insists he's better without ever having read his kit or used him dont other replying)

I agree with most of what you said, except for the challenge quest argument. Ibuki herself may have a slightly better kit for CQs (mostly just because of the NP seal) but Muramasa being arts means he has way better support options available to him. Arts just has more flexibility for staling and survival than Buster

I agree with the final rating, but while it is true Ibuki is very strong for farming, I don't think that's where she shines due to compétition in permanent Saber pool. Artoria and Mordred both act as pseudo 50% battery due to their NP effect providing 20% NP refund + their 30% batteries. Particularly, Artoria far outclasses any AOE Saber in term of NP damage. Where Ibuki really shines is challenging content with her powerful utility.

The saber comparison is pretty dumb considering Artoria has the strongest aoe np when counterclassing without niches, Ibuki has the 2nd strongest aoe np in her class until Alteras buff. As for Mordred it's not even a competition, Ibuki is just a flat out upgrade to Mordred in every single thing that she does. Even her survivability is better thanks to her 3 turn defense buff and that says something.

It's true that Mordred is outclassed in many ways by Ibuki but that's not that important to my critic. I did mention that Ibuki is worthy of the praise she gets in the video through her rating (A+). I'm listing the competition to point out what I don't agree with in the video which is that "Ibuki shines in farming". Her true worth to me is her BBB deck, Ignore invuln, ignore def, NP seal, strong card performance. But, most of these strengths apply in challenging content not farming where Artoria and Mordred will do just fine if not better for the former.

Is it worth going for her? She comes around in September and I probably will have koyan and oberon, but I do have Muramasa on NP 2 and while Arts Farming isn´t reliable on irregiöar nodes with double castoria, his own Battery and 70% Oberon even on irreguöar nodes he still should be able to 3T farm, also he can use black Grail and his damage potential is probably higher than Ibukis, especially with oberon, so i am somewhat conflicted and I probably wont have the SQ to for a copy beyond NP1...

Artoria only straight up winning on farming scenario tough. If you talk about CQ, she's still outclassed by Ibuki. At the very least, Ibuki still have ignore defense and ignore invincibility (hence some offensive utility) while all artoria have is damage

My problem with her is that I have NP3 Saber. And why would I roll for the Snek when Lady Arty has been doing what she does since Day 1, getting to the point of being one of the better Servants in her class due to recent buffs? Only thing she has over Saber is the bigger battery, some light defense with NP Seal, and easily higher damage between powerful ATK steroids, Buster Res Down, and the two Pierces on her NP.

Sorry but Ibuki is way better than Muramasa. Most ppl are only rolling for him for obvious reasons but aside from that, nah. He's just a better farmer but Buster farming will be the thing in the future so nah in farming aspect. For CQs, still meh. Ibuki pretty much deal way more dmg than him and again, Buster will always be the best card type. If I can find someone who can rival Ibuki, it should have been Artoria. Muramasa is way overhype

Evil. F'ck'n. Bones. I hate grinding for Evil Bones like Quatar rainbows. Five hours of Fuyuki, and that's just to get the 29 required for Ascension. Servant reviews need an additional 'pain-in-the-ass' ranking. Excellent skills are great. I'm pumped to have Ibuki, she's not Bedivere, but I'm never going to 10/10/10 that.
