Best explanation I’ve heard on KZbin. You breakdown why the character is good and what are the drawbacks. Like with melusine, everyone says she is a must have, but you are the first to say that her niche is over saturated and you probably already have someone that covers this need or will pull for them in the near future. When Aesc was released I knew her kit looked strange. It almost seemed like she was made for long fights which doesn't mesh with fgo player's playstyle of quick farming. But looks like she can do quick fights as well and enable others to do it as well which was a surprise. Will be interesting seeing how much use she gets (assuming I get her).

I think another honorary mention is Ptolemy, having ST and AOE NP that is interchangable can be very useful for some 90++ and he is still an overall solid servant on both AOE and ST form and you are not stuck with one form once you transform unlike Melusine which is a nice plus

This games progression is starting to reach layers where not really sure its worth investing time into. Needing multiple copies of the newest and bestest servants for endgame and having to pursue multiple of them is just not an enjoyable experience. Especially with multicore farming. People talking about how it shakes the game up, sure but needing np3+ of the characters for a better farming node is wild.

Oh yes, Draco, the Rulerserker, the funniest unit match up-wise, she can either win very hard or lose very hard. Personally I'm pulling for Tezca (though that is part because I also want Tenoch) and for Aesc. If I get lucky with my pulls I'm gonna try for Summer Castoria.

Agree with all of them except for Kuku. I think it’s undeniable she has a stacked kit but foreigner is just really not a great class for her even if it makes sense lore-wise. I’ve had her since her OG banner on JP and in these last two years I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve broken her out in a battle and it’s mainly been for fun and not for need. There’s just way more servants that will see more use in a majority of the content over the next few years. I’d put her in honorable mentions tbh, but that’s just me.

Well buying something good and not using it sounds like a typical case of impulse spending. I've had the opposite experience. Her skills pay the bills on top of good stats. And unlike Tez, her modifier doesn't cripple her damage. And even if you don't have the resources to buster farm she can still be self sufficient

Only 7 SSRs even interest me this year, which is good for the wallet. Was planning to go a bit harder on Draco, but now I don't think I need to. NP2 is probably fine most of the time. 1. Aesc/Tonelico/Summer Morgan is my main goal. I want NP5 and I will 120 her. She is Morgan. This is non-negotiable. Even if I have to pass on Draco because I don't think I am confident at getting what I need for NP5, I will. She is more important. 2. Kuku I want NP2-3. Depends on how my rolls go. I must thank Plushie for hyping her up all year, boosting my draw at wanting to pull for her. lol 3. Zerktoria. Explained in the video. Can just turn my brain off. Want NP 3+ 4. Draco. Like I said, NP2 is probably fine in most cases. I am not really big into minturns and I don't have the funds to just NPO5 everyone, nor would I want to. It depends on how my rolls go in January and how they go here. Aesc is the main person I want this year, so if I have to cut Draco to NP1 or something, or even just skip, I will. 5. Tez. Hopefully my Kuku rolls go well enough that I can roll a bit on him. Will pass if I need to, but he will be on any Destiny Orders until i get him. He is just too good for farming to pass up. 6. Ruler Melu. I just want one copy for LB6 Collection purposes. Like Plushie said, if you have other AOE Arts loopers, she isn't that needed. I want Space Eresh big time next year and I already have NP2 Ruler Moriarty who gets an NP Buff next year and I have NP4 Space Ishtar and NP3 Summer Ibuki. I am good on the AOE Arts loopers forever. One copy is fine for posterity. 7. Takatsugi. This is only for his interesting support capabilities. He is very low priority and one copy is more than enough, but will not roll very hard for him, either. Other than that, it is a quiet year for me, which is good. Cause oh boy... 2026 is gonna hurt.

@@rumovonzamonien Outside of Anni and Summer, my luck has been really good this past year. I also make sure I have a large chunk saved up before doing anything else. Now, what you see above is my WANTS, not what I WILL get. I have a set amount to spend on the game each month. If I fail to reach what I want, I will just have to wait for a rerun. Simple as that. If Tonelico's rolls go poorly and I only get NP2-3 in the amount I will allocate, then I will wait till the year after when she comes back to finish NP5. I don't roll endlessly. As for Melu, Tez, and Takasugi, they are NOT mandatory. I will roll lightly at best, and if I don't have the SQ, might not roll at all. So in reality, there is only 4 SSRs I want.

Another problem with Summer Castoria is that she looks too much like Caster Castoria, so you might select the wrong card. She has that Stheno/Euryale problem.

Surprised to see Tonelico/Aesc so high, I have her at NP2 on JP because her 1st ascension is one of my favourite servant designs of all time, but I rarely actually find her to be worth using. As a single-core, her damage isn't noticeably better than my grailed Cú Caster, and for multi-core it's tricky to meet her requirements since I don't have any of the specific units that synergise with her. Maybe it's a skill issue on my part, but I feel like she's only good at really high NP levels or in very specific setups.

Well, who cares for farming? Just use Summer Ibuki, and if you don't have her, roll for her. She is ranked this high because as he said, she is irreplaceable, and has great value as a support in challenge quests, and one of the few Servants that can effectively fill a role of DPS AND Support at the same time.

An easy use now that append 5 is out is to use a 2 stage overcharge CE and have her np turn 1, meaning she can use her s3 as early as turn 2. You can also use her to clear the first 2 waves in nodes where the final node has an absurdly tanky enemy and then use her s3 to get the 2 nps and unload.

Factors to be added are where they'll be used on plus the enemy composition's class types. Like for say with the current Phantasmoon event, Space Eresh is a no go since she's weak against Avengers and neutral for Berserkers, as an example.

Draco doesn't really feel special nowadays lol. Yeah, her class is great for the seven original classes but being ST when they started adding 2 enemies randomly on wave 3 encouraged multi-core setups often. Great for raids though... even if that's a low bar. Aesc definitely still carries her weight even after getting initial flak. Her being Caster is the balancing factor on her... because if she was anything but Caster or Assassin she'd be way too strong lol.

If you have a 120 2K fou'ed Melusine you don't need Kuku honestly. Aesc is still solid though because append 5 makes her even better and she still has amazing multicore capabilities. Her niche is also not that rare to see.

Koyan Dark and S. Castoria works really well with Aesc due to their OC +2 skills can let Aesc release her 3rd skill at S3. Other servants with CD reduction skills eg Koyan Light, S Ibuki and Edison can work as well.

This is why I hate the 2 year gap between versions, and it's not because this video told me, since I keep up jp content so all of this year my reasoning to pull draco kept getting lower and lower and now its 0, I don't need her anymore cause well she got hard countered, the thing plushie feared the most happened. Castoria is just a way better pick overall.

Imma let you in on a little secret. The game isn't that hard you don't need optimal Servants. Pull for who you want, you don't need the strongest Meta picks. Except for the Meta Supports of course.

Yeah I get that. Had that same realization too tbh, there's just too much this year and not enough sq or rates for me that I think I'll have to skip her tbh. In my experience, emphasis on my experience, STs aren't used as frequently as aoes so I'd prefer to get one that's pretty nice. I might still roll for her tho cos I really like her design and kit tbh, let's see how it goes.

Will you use Berserker Castoria against Foreigners? Yes, Draco isn't usable to JP's current event especially the current ones like the one full of Neco Arc, so what. Plushie just forgot that he grinded Xmas lottery 90++ with Draco a few weeks ago. I will say don't let something that will happen in more than 12 months stop you from enjoying what is in front of you.

As a big Castoria and Kenshin fan I am both happy that the two are pretty strong units and sad that one of them completely invalidates the other. And also they release very close to each other 😅 though.
