The worst is that, I’m usually sound in my decisions. I’m smart and I’m a good thinker. But my feelings, they’re like a toddler throwing a tantrum in my brain, they drown out everything and I can’t hear myself anymore, I’m drowning or I’m fighting off a swarm of bees and my reasoning is completely incapacitated. Fi sounds like the ostrich bird that sticks its head in a hole and thinks no one sees it. From watching it with Fe it looks like that is the case too. It's like they think they are silently communicating with others and no one else can see it. The more intense the feelings are the less they think they are being seen, but it's exactly the opposite. Body language and tone account for a whopping 90% of human communications, and 10% for the actual words you say; which is still pretty much when dealing with something as complex as humans, but it's not 90%. Is it just me or i didn't get the Ben afleck and henry cavill video at the end. Well the thing with "Fi" is you gotta balance it with "Te", even as an infp, eventually you are going to get tired of making decisions based on self-interest, and self-motivation, I tell you when you start making decisions based on outward impact, necessity and worth, you'll feel liberated. The delusion with " Fi" is "something only has worth if I care about it", and that's not the case, worth is defined by the outward effect it has, it isn't subjective.
@jerlinej35164 жыл бұрын
I agree except for the last part, because extrinsic worth and intrinsic worth are both legitimate, it just has to be balanced out the way a double decider would do

@@jerlinej3516 yeah, was initially gonna say that, but what makes up your identity is outside influence, your identity can be anything, your identity is built, it can be broken down and rebuilt, so your identity has to be dynamic, you don't know the extent of what is good/true/correct. That's what double deciders do so well, they don't go all in on their ego, because they know there is something new or an update reality can throw at them, in which they'll have to incorporate into their identity, that may mean they have to break down what they have already built and correct it or add to it.

I think you underestimate how deeply fe users feel. I’m an infj and feel bottom of the barrel extreme emotions unfortunately I’m very aware of myself and how I’m perceived so it’s difficult when unpretty emotions rear their ugly head (the pain of a deeply inappropriate crush, the the person who bullied you as a kid married a billionaire, your cat dieing and being unable to control the emotions of wailing sadness thru class etc) we learn to stuff it and retain a pretty face thru the shame we feel, but it’s very difficult. I try and maintain control but the feelings only intensify internally that’s why many of us fe users you can hear the emotions in our voice and we are also good at spotting emotions in others because we understand them within ourselves. I do read my fi friends and assumed they could read me too and without any ego around it. I just called out my infp father on his crush and I think it was shocking for him, it flew out of my mouth as many fe things sometimes do (mom died years ago btw) but there was no judgement only acknowledging it and I may have made a cute little joke around it but there is never any judgement around it

IMO it's not a question of *depth* so much as maybe *complexity*...or something along those lines. The Fi users have the patience for reflecting and sort of stewing on one emotion in order to get a weird and complex feeling that can seem contradictory or dumb to an Fe user (at least, that's my personal experience as a lead Ti). I get a very strong emotional reaction to some things (moreso when I was younger), but it's pretty...unified, it's like a giant blast of one emotion that sweeps through me. It's very...loud. Metaphorically. And it's pretty easy for me to understand. @Jaction Interesting! I'm pretty sure I'm Ti/Ne. I'm certain I'm Blast-last, lead Consume. As for the other animals, it could go either way, but I think most likely CP/S(B). I'm pretty sure my Si is masculine. I used to think my Fe was masculine too, but others have told me that my Fe seems feminine, so the jury's still out on that one. You might be onto something with the idea that it could be related to both the dynamic between Ti & Fe and Blast-last.

INFP seem so much harder than INFJ, because at least INFJ have Ni Ti that they can work on and do something with. Lead feeling, especially Fi is just "where's the solution"?

"I can't see you therefore you must not be able to see me" Does that work in reverse for the extroverted functions? I have demon Fi and I feel like I'm a mess internally but I think how I come across is very competent, that's the Te diagnosing problems well. So I think because I can see it (my feminine Fi) surely other people can? Anyone else experience that?

I could do it. Just calm down. Just because someone makes you horny and you are in love with your brain or whatever, it doesn't mean you should get married. Did you ever even live life? You could ask the INTJ I fell in love with at 18 who didn't want to start a relationship in the military during training still. I thought he just hated me, but I am a stupid who only realized 20 years after he broke my heart and made me want to die. My Fi is never wrong. Good call on the Ti though. I accidentally married an ISTP. ESTP first though. That one was quite fun! Anyway, I found out the other day he's a professor at UPenn now. My kid might get a full ride scholarship there!! He's a finalist! What if we accidentally meet one day and his happy marriage I saw 10 years ago where he has twins was all a huge mistake on his part? It could happen. -ENFP

This is why I can’t relate to some things my INTJ sister says or can relate to. Just going all in on one side of the chemical spectrum. It’s like ahhh yeahhh….mkay… Fe’s can love and fall in love obviously but love is something we give out for free all the time, anyway. Experiencing emotions internally isn’t a weird, strong, or special feeling. Eventually those emotions are going to come out (or extrovert) anyway. With emotions, it just is what it is. No biggie at all. But our logic? That’s a whole other convo. Lololol.

Okay, am I the only one who doesn't think that that level of intimacy necessarily translates into "love" or should have anything to do with how they are married to different people? I just think people confuse intimacy with love. Maybe it's coming from thinking too much about it. I'm in an open relationship and do get intimate with different people, and as an INFP, I have put in a great deal of overthinking into this. I just feel those two singers being intimate is just them being intimate. Got nothing to do with love. It's just an artistic concept. 🤷🏻♂️ Please tell me there's someone else who thinks the same

I disagree somewhat but in accordance with what Dave and Shan says it makes sense that you would be blind to it. For me as an ISTP with demon Fe interacting with a savior Fi can be scary. What I'm seeing is a hot burning chemical, but not physical, romance that burnt out. That's what Dave and Shan are talking about at 4:30 when their Fe friend said that their relationship had already ended. I suspect that the only reason Dave and Shan lasted beyond the initial chemical flameout is they built their relationship on something stronger than their feelings of love. However I do agree that intimacy can be separated from love. We see no evidence in this video that the two singers were intimate beyond singing. But they definitely had a very strong chemical love for a time. But it burnt out and the band broke up. By the same token you might be putting up emotional barriers between you and your lovers thus you have intimacy without love while the singers had love without intimacy. So yes they can be separated. The question is if that is a good idea.
@Chris30154 жыл бұрын
@@LikeToWatch77 I thought the Fe friend said that they would marry/be together for a long time, because of how they acted in the beginning, which they couldn't see.
@rohanrahinwal97064 жыл бұрын
@@LikeToWatch77 I'm not saying that they don't have chemistry. Yeah, sure, in that moment there might be chemicals, but I've found Fi users indulge in those chemicals in a very very platonic manner. Sure, those chemicals can be interpreted as ohh there's sparks flying, but that's just ONE of many possibilities of what's happening. It's just fun to feel that extremity. It's like putting four screws on a switchboard even though just two of them could have done the job. The feeling of seeing all the sockets complete is satisfying. Similarly, people can be comfortable with just very basic amount of intimacy, that's socially acceptable. But, doing something that's going to raise eyebrows is just more fulfilling. It's like when you're told you can't eat something, you want to eat it more, but with emotions, or chemicals. PS: sorry for the analogy overdose XD
