This is usually caused by just a duff battery in the remote. If not then it’s a BCM problem. #love500

That is not correct, the battery in the remote is only needed for the keyless entry portion.

@@AutoTechElectronic I stand corrected. So how did you fix it? I’ve had this before but just for a few seconds then it’s gone away.

@@Love500 you would get another key to rule out the key from being the issue. If both keys behave the same, then it may be the immobilizer antenna ring around the ignition cylinder. Specially if it happens randomly

@@AutoTechElectronic yes, I’ve replaced entire lock sets and BCM before and had stolen/recovered where luckily the ring has still been there so just new lock needed.

I have a similar problem, 2007 1.4, car was fine this morning. Now tried both keys, check lights come on, but no anti theft light, I hear the fuel pump but when I turn the ignition nothing happens. Is the starter relais a common problem? Otherwise, might be BCM as logical.
