Fiat 500 Won’t Start - P0115 Code

Yet another common problem for the Fiat 500, and more Fiat models fitted with the 5SF ECU, causes symptoms of poor or no starting when cold or only starting when the MAP sensor is disconnected.
The fault code P0115 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Malfunction will be stored. This fault, in some instances, has been found to be caused by either a faulty coolant temp sensor, an intake air temperature sensor failure (which is built into the MAP sensor) or a combination of both.
Common Failure Symptoms:
• Poor or no starting when cold
• Will only start when MAP sensor is disconnected
