Thank you for sharing your stories and experiences. I was wondering about the lady that prayed for you. Was she catholic as well? My experience is that people and most catholic priests avoid these subjects (speaking in tongues) because they don't have any experience with it or they don't practice/believe in it. Is it for everybody like some say? Looking online, I seem to be seeing mainly protestants fully embracing the existance of gifts and chasing it like it is something we are all supposed to receive if we desire it. What is your opinion about these supernatural things? I've heard so many different explanations on "how to receive the gifts" or "how to be baptized in the Holy Spirit", I don't know who to believe or where to find good explanation and guidance. One says it's more like a Benny Hinn experience and others say it's some kind of elektricity with laying on of hands, and others say it's something you received at baptism and it doesn't make you feel anything... Hopefully you can say more about that

Jesus Clearly Says In The True Life In God Messages, we are not to. Seek the help of mediums, crystals because they are of occult nature. Your brother needs Masses Said for him. Sorry unless one goes directly to Heaven( very rare), most people are in ourgotory. We must Pray for their souls daily and offer A Mass and Recite The Divine Mercy Chaplet on their behalf. There are no good mediums because it is demons that speak through them.

@tsambika thank you, but I'm very familiar with what is said about mediums and psychics. Not all are bad and not all are hearing demons. That's rather presumptious to say that I think. Read the lives of the saints who were often contacted by the other side. The list is endless. And, as I mentioned I didn't go to a psychic. The woman who visited my store was woken up by the Holy Spirit and was told to come pray with "Kate". She wanted nothing in return and was happy to be an instrument for the morning. My brother has reached me many times. To say that a demon is working through him, without knowing the full story isn't very Christian like. I highly doubt Satan lead me to my husband, the 5 children we have, the ministry we started, etc. God is all over it and we praise Him because of it. My brother was simply a way for the Lord to reach me. The book you mentioned, maybe you should do some more research on the author. Just a thought. As for my brother, he was 9 years old. He spent a lot of time in prayer, secretly gathered prayer cards and holy books without our knowledge, and well... after he died, there were many miracles. Atheists converted, women changed their minds to player their babies for adoption vs abort their babies, families prayed together, I could go on... but I won't. Not every person who passes from this life is a declared a saint but if they make it to Heaven they're a saint nonetheless. And of course, most people go to Purgatory. I agree and never just assume people "made it". We've got the Masses covered... not to worry ;)
