Not sure if you monitor your account still but just wanted to say thank you! After multiple replacement resistors and repair wiring loom fails I bit the bullet and copied this idea. I actually did as you suggested and took out the pins from the connector and soldered them directly onto the tabs on the resistor. Ive only just done it and tested (everything working as it should) but so far no heat at the connections or wires like I used to get. Hope this lasts longer than previous attempts!

How long did the new resistor last?

Literally just need it for the bs steam build up otherwise the car doesn't really feel cold due the old cloth material interior
