Fiat Sedici Cold start after mapping update

Hello, for detail of the changes please check the other video of mine. Since mapping update I have never had an starting issue.
We checked other Fiat 1.9 models and saw they had +30/40% more fuel when starting at low temperature and fuel was delivered at 50Rpm.
He increased the fuel volume to +35% from stock (only on the colder temperatures: -40 celsius degree up to +15/20 celsius) and fuel delivery starting from 100rpm.
All the changes only influence the starting on colder temperatures, after starting all the values are standard.
Hope this will help others with same issues.

Salut! Mai ai harta pe care sa o poti trimite? Am mai scris de doua ori, dar a disparut mesajul. Nu e problema daca nu o mai poti trimite, dar vreau sa stiu daca nu gresesc eu ceva cand postez. Multumesc!

Nice, maybe they have diffrent SW deending on the selling area... only these 1.9 8V Sedici engines has these issue...After this fix I am quite happy with the car and what is offering.

Very interesting. I have the same model of Fiat and exactly the same fault (for 3 years!). I've tried your experiment with disconnecting the temp sensor plug and after that it starts first time !! Now my problem is finding a good person to remap the ECU for me here in Norfolk, UK. All my local remappers can offer is boosting my bhp, they don't want or know how to help my coldstart problem. If you know anyone who can please let me know.

For sure they can, is a really easy fix. But either dont want to because of low price of the job, or they just downloaded diffrent maps from the forums and have no idea how to program, just swap the maps...

@@andyhind9187 Hi Andy, so far my only offer to remap for cold starting is from Josh in Stowmarket at £300. For me that's too costly for 'a really easy fix'. Most people I've approached lose all interest when they hear it's a Fiat. So I'm still looking. Please let me know if you crack this !

the mileage is not an issue, they just programmed them bad from the factory. The guy who did my ECU can program it but is in Romania, so don't know how to do it remotely it wont work because he needs to take the ECU off the car and manually connect to it. But in principle, any tuning shop can do it, also the guys who do dpf off, stage 1, 2, etc. I didnt care about heaving more power so I let the power map as it was and increased the fuel only until car starts.

@@uvler Hej, jeszcze nie robiłem z tym nic... ale mam namiar na warsztat w Pobiedziskach... mam zamiar udać się tam jak zrobi się cieplej i podać wytyczne kolegi z Rumunii... ... zobaczymy czy się podejmą i czy zadziała. Dziwne dla mnie jest to, że jak auto było nowsze to problemu raczej nie było... teraz ma już swoje lata i swój przebieg i takie kwiatki wychodzą... przeprogramowanie sterownika zatem będzie tylko odwleczeniem w czasie jakiejś naprawy... no ale może tego czasu wystarczy na żywota auta w moich rękach... 😏 Pozdro

Salut! Spune-mi te rog ce ai schimbat la ea, ca am si eu aceasi problema, porneste foarte greu.

Salut, am alt video in care e scris in descriere si am mentionat cum se verifica. Nu trebuie schimbat nimic, doar softul. Toate au aceeasi problema, de asta am decis sa o cumpar desi stiam ca nu porneste cum trebuie. Ca sa verifici daca e de la harta sau nu, scoate mufa de la senzorul de temperatura de pe termostat. Daca porneste bine, e de la harta. Au fost modificati doar parametrii parametrii care influenteaza pornirea la temperaturi sub +15 grade: debit de motorina marit cu 35-40% la turatiile de pornire si injectarea motorinei incepand cu 100rpm (injecta de la 0rpm pe mapa originala). Acum porneste foarte bine la orice temperaturi si dau la automat imediat cum se incalzesc bujiile. Fiind modificati doar parametrii care influenteaza pornirea, nu ai probleme cu noxe, gaze, consum diferit, etc. Citirea ECU se poate face cu OBD, dar pt scrierea modificarilor trebuie demontat ECU, da ceva eroare din cauza imobilizatorului daca e pe masina.
