Who would agree that if Kai did not got injured and had played on Georgia and Brazil full game. They can enter the finals and prolly qualified to Olympics with 4-0 record. And Gilas still don't have their 2 core players Aj Edu and Scottie Thompson. That line up has no legit point guard, just shooting guards that played as point lel.

I would beg to disagree, watching these highlights i just saw how tough and lucky gilas were in that first half as they were making very difficult shots while brazil was missing easier open ones as i remember. The lost luck in the 2nd half was inevitable as brazil even made it tighter for brownlee while making their open shots. Sure, Kai could make a difference down low but huertas midrange from a pick would feast on sotto's drop coverage.

fiba will never allow that. the refs started making questionable calls late in the 2nd quarter of the brazil game. one of the refs was mexican. they should have inserted an asian ref for balance. it helped brazil to come back and disrupted gilas rhytmn. the bigs of brazil were physical but no fouls. it gave them confidence. but they should have been in foul trouble to keep them honest, instead they put brownlee on foul trouble through phantom calls. you can see brownlee’s and fajardo’s frustration with the refs if you watch the entire game.

Kai is a big factor why the paint have been so very vulnerable to inside baskets. There is less protection and also less rebounds when he is not around. The next time Gilas Pilipinas goes for this kind of highly and crucial tournament we need our full Avengers to be healthy and to have a full roster ready in case one or two top-guns has to exit for a while.

For jalen green, hes so confused on whether he wants to join gilas, he said himself that he could join team usa to get a gold medal. But if not, yeah he will join the Philippines, but the man is so confused if he will join or not. For Clarkson, Philippines chose brownlee, over Clarkson because both are naturalized players. The reason we chose brownlee is because of the new coach, not because of favouritism. But brownlee's knowledge and familiarity with the cone's triangle, brownlee knows this very well, but for Clarkson, always late to practice, cone's triangle needs months or years of practicing, so 1 week will not do enough. If we chose clarkson, I bet that man will join 1 day before the oqt.
