Literally no chance. None of the Japanese players can bother her shots under the rim. Even with arms fully extended, or double teamed. It doesn’t matter. You could possible just deny easy buckets with fouls and force her to score from the line but then you risk so many players fouling out

@@stevenadams9511 yeah. I looked up the shooting splits and she’s pretty solid at the line. China’s got a free win here. No one has the size to compete at this level. (Obviously different story once it’s not a junior team). At this point if I was a coach, i’d literally make my players foul bait her to get her subbed out the game. Minimize her impact etc. still hard to do, seems disciplined enough and she doesn’t need to jump in the first place to block shots.

I know it’s unfair to the opposition. However she does show some actual basketball skills. She’s very coordinated for her height and actually a good passer from the low post. This will be different of course once she starts facing bigger players from the WNBA.

Not necessarily, if she becomes a perimeter shooting threat and 3-point threat then absolutely she will. Zhang is only a consistent scoring threat in the paint. If Team USA ends up beating her team it'll likely be by perimeter and 3 point shooting.

The top thing i like about her is she’s very thick for her height good size arms and legs overall body she seems very strong gots a good little one hand put in With all that i don’t think the girls in the WNBA are going to beat up on her now things she needs to improve is developing a jumpshot for mid range getting some speed running the court and man i love to see someone like Hakeem Olajuwon work with her on a post spin move if she could develop a dream shake and run the floor no one would stop her

At 17 that's unbelievable. She doesn't know how to get in position to box out and she still had 14 rebounds from size and good hands. Nice touch around the basket. A few hook fade moves as well which are unstoppable with that type of height difference

It's like when you are in elementary school and one of the teams is short a player so the coach plays. If she can stay healthy, she's got a career ahead of her, but big people like this once they get out of their teens tend to have all sorts of health issues.
