Thanks for the test. I saw this very laser a while back and thought that it might make a nice little unit to take to craft fairs, farmer's markets, etc. I was drawn in by the small size that made it portable, but also powerful enough to mark common small items, like anodized aluminum tags. I was also drawn by the fact that it came with protective screens to shield anyone close by not wearing safety glasses from stray reflections.

Not that I know of, I think your talking about a rotary tool, and I do not believe this unit comes with that, but!! they have newer models that do!

Ive been using an AC Infinity CLOUDLINE PRO S6, Quiet 6” fan that's rated at 402 CFM and is vented outside. I've been burning a bunch of powder-coated tumblers with the fan on max but my shop air isn't good enough. What would fume extractor would you suggest? I kind of like my lungs but too much smoke is getting past the vacuum, and I'm putting the suction tube really close to the tumbler.

Hey There, since you are doing powder coated cups I would recommend that that you get something a bit more powerful than the one in this video. The XL 300 or the XL 500 is your best bet, and will mitigate all those powder coating fumes and more, both will work great. So is there actually an extractor that would work for protecting against leather fumes? I checked your previous vids but couldn't see a reference.

There is no fume extractor on the market less than 10,000.00 that will completely eliminate the odor of burning leather, leather is a very hard smell to deal with :(

You never shown actual speed when engraving something. I'm interested in this laser but I want to know actual speed on an anodized aluminum pet tag.

good point, dog tag are fast like 15-30sec, larger graphic 3”x3” will take you about 2.5min per mark

I would not engrave PVC if you can avoid that it off gasses some nasty stuff.
