I made more rows of the beginning front post because I love that part showing where you called it inside out. I think you have 19-20 rows of the V stitch, that’s what I did. Love this hat and I’m going to make 4-7 in different colors. Thank YOU so much

Dear Jennifer, Thank you for this pattern for the slouch hat. Would you have a pattern to match for mittens or fingerless gloves and a scarf to match? I could get ahead of the game and get ready for this next winter. And could make some great birthday gifts ahead of time or just a gift to give. Put the whole set in a gift bag. I have lots of friends who would cherish a simple yet beautiful gift like this. Thank you Jennifer. You are the best. And have such great tutorials too! Thanks for always taking the time out of your day to treat all of us with your projects.

I have a question about the band. Please help!! The edge curls up around the bottom. It seems the underneath ridge (where the fpdc's are) is pushing up the dc foundation row. How can i get the bottom to lay flat? Wondering if there something i am doing wrong or is this happening to anyone else? Other than that, the pattern is beautiful and a quick work up. I sized down to 52 chains using a #5 yarn. Was the same count (52) for a #6 yarn. My head is smaller sized though, so i expected that.

I have this same problem. Did you ever get an answer? I need one too!

Me too. Was thinking about doing a single crochet around the bottom to get it to sit flat. 🤔

@piratessalyx7871 Жыл бұрын
Sometimes it helps to use a hook size up to start a beginning chain. Since the first stitch is such a large stitch its absorbing the small chain stitch. Usually on many projects the next stitch is smaller like single crochet. Try a hook size up on your beginning chain.

You probably added a chain in between the V stitches as well as inside the V stitch somewhere causing spread, or your tension got looser as you went along.

Are you skipping 1 stitch or 2 stitches between each V stitch? When you say skip the next stitch and stitch after that sounds like you are skipping 2 stitches.
@Jess-watches-anime Жыл бұрын
I know this is really late but she is only skipping one stitch. She is saying "skip the next stitch, in the stitch after that do the double crochet". I had to zoom in and slow down the video to see it since her words aren't completely clear. Hope this helps
@piratessalyx7871 Жыл бұрын
The pattern is skip a stitch, V stitch = double crochet chain one double crochet all in same stitch, then skip a stitch and then again perform the V stitch

How many rows?
@piratessalyx7871 Жыл бұрын
She says 12” or until the slouchy length you need.
@kouyate246 ай бұрын
I don't understand how all rows after and including row 5 have straight sides firming a tube, when essentially a v stitch increases the number of stitches. It would have been helpful if u gave a stitch count at the end of row 5 to help keep us on track 😔

@debramattison3467 Жыл бұрын
Why are my rows starting to curl? Yours look flat.
@taehyungkim4267 Жыл бұрын
Mostly like because your tension is to tight the tighter you make your stitches the more difficult it gets to work with and it starts to curl with crochet you really have to crochet more loosely than you're used to I had that problem in the beginning to but if you loosing up more it will get more flat don't stiffen up your pols and hand just let it float :) I hope it works and if you have anymore questions you can always ask me
