Bob on his mini chopper. View from the handle bars...A cartoon on a T-shirt, bibs, googles, beard parted in the breeze. Perfect!

Having scratch-built a fiberglass rod body I really admire your determination and perseverance Bob! I remember the itchy skin and sticky resin all too well. Some builders mock 'glass as "not the real deal" but it's harder than one might think.

I dig that little bike,I think it's cool and looks great, that springer is over the top and the golf cart wheel is a big part of the down and dirty chopper look, yeah there may be a few issues with the door but I agree with the Last comment that you were the only one who had the vision to even build it so who cares about a belt line being off a bit, I think it's a great looking car, great job as always Bawb

As usual. Rat Rod Bob give us another lesson on his 1st taste of working with fiberglass. When he brought that big ole Eye dropper out. I knew we were in for a Class. Bob is definitely a Builder. Not a restorer. Cause his stuff is his. May look like a Ford but it's Rat Rod all the way.

I look for you every day. I seen you post so I said let me see.I think its great. Im not gonna go lookin for fault. If you painted it without the stitches it would look great Bob. My friend here awhile back purchased a new motorcycle with a V Twin briggs 25 horse power. It had a centrifugal clutch with a jack shaft to a chain drive. He said it would run 70 easy enough. It sounded real good.Thank you for posting. Im working on my wife's c10. Going slow but I almost got the frame painted.

A tip , in PDR they use rubbing alcohol in a sprayer to soften the hot glue for removal. Just a little bit easier. 😊

You are doing a Mighty fine job on the rat rod.. You take a lot of time to make each piece fit just right, and there is probably 5000 pieces.. It will be great.

@joegarage61324 күн бұрын
I've got a 32 5 window that I am adding metal cowl vent, movable front windshield which will be some real work on the inside to make a metal form. The body is fiberglass so I may fool the purists, oh and also adding drip rails. I may even add some metal to make it look like rust when i paint the body. I bought this from a buddy that could not finish the car, It came with engine, trans, seats and on and on. True kit car. Luckily I do not have the bad gaps and such on this car, all the doors and trunk close really well. All that to say that I watch you for knowledge and seeing how you make your cars. Whatever you do I think its great, I would not change anything you do. Thanks for all your sharing, great job. Btw your video on building c4 trans has me tearing into that rebuild on another car, never done it hope it works.....

After pausing the video and looking at the current window opening. (Passenger side at the end of the video.) I have a few things I noticed. The top of the window opening flows nicely with the roof line towards the rear until it reaches about 1/3 of the way down the back. The trim line from the top is nice and narrow then seems to become pretty thick quickly as you follow the window outline. The same with the bottom of the window opening. Nice and narrow with the rear trim line then seems to get thicker as is goes along the door. Looking forward to the next update.
@RatRodBobBuilds4 күн бұрын
Good eye ... I had all that looking good but then the window openings didn't match so I had to go back to the drawing board. Now I have decisions to make.
