This was exactly what my Tuesday afternoon needed! For a name, what about Scratch Art - you know those papers that are all black and then you use a wooden stylus to reveal the bright colors underneath

Oh Wow! I’ve just found you at 2am waiting for my beautiful Ragdoll girl to give birth. Your video caught my eye because I have a super fine black merino and her paddock buddy us a Moorit (brown) Corriedale. I’ve wanted to spin for years. I have the same wheel you have used in this video but am lacking the confidence to “just do it!” You make it seem easy(I know it’s not and will take me many hours to master) but I seem to have all the gear: fleeces, carding drum, mini picker and an amazing 6’ triangle loom I was gifted during lockdown! Thanks for the video, I’m probably going to watch them all while doing my midwifery for my darling girl!

Hi Trish Love your Chanel. Really love the idea of a tribe that loves all sorts of different fibre like I do. I’m in Australia and we suffer the merino-ness but with effort other breeds can be found and celebrated. I also love the ideology of fibre leading the prep, spinning & final article. I recently binged your breed study 2021, so interesting thanks. LOVE that there is no wrong in fibre art. Thanks again for all your energy!! Louise

Pillow! Fun to watch. Good to see you. Art yarns are so fun to make and hold (and collect on a shelf). They do lend themselves to weaving way more than knitting. (Boo😢). Looking forward to seeing the project.

Hey friend. I am not a fan of art yarn, nor have I ever been drawn to working with locks. I'm grateful for the video (which I watched all the way through) as it cemented that fact for me. Right now, that is. I reserve the right to change my mind in the future - rewatch this video, and try try try! I appreciate you - thanks!

It reminds me of neon signs at night. I'm so intimidated by the art yarn now. It was the first thing I really wanted to spin but seeing other's beautiful stuff and mine being so hit or miss has deterred me a lot. I like most of my plain spins a lot but my art yarns go wrong a lot more often. I probably just need the right fiber maybe. I think I try too hard to make it be an art yarn rather than letting it happen naturally. I did a random batt with a really random freeform drafting style and it was a lot of fun and I really liked the result.

Mmmmmm love me some bright colours on black background. I'm terrified by corespinning, personally, compared to just drafting and spinning fiber. There's just too much to keep track of. Anyway my submission for the name is Back To The Future, and I definitely vote pillow, I think those pops of colour would be an instant little burst of cheerfulness in any day, and black goes with everything.
