Graet natural dyeing experiments. Lovely knitting as well. I can just picture the little boy proudly wearing his still damp vest !!! So charming ! 😇 Thanks for the starry sky and the moose videos at the end. 🙏

Another beautiful episode. I can not emphasize enough how I love the variety you bring in all your creative endeavors. If you just talked knitting all day I know I would not tune in as much even though that is my first hobby. Thank you for living and sharing the things you hold dear-creation, exploring different arts and trying new things, for embodying the views you cherish-learning, the simple pleasures of life, the slow pace of life and the beauty of the outdoors. Good luck to another school year.

I saved your video like a dessert to savour and what a sweet treat it was! Love the range you achieved with your natural dyeing. So gorgeous. I do prefer dyeing outside too. I didn’t really get the bug to do it this summer which is so odd that’s the first time in about three years must be the spinning that took over. Oh my goodness, Cameron! There never was a more knitworthy boy! He wore his vest damp barely off the needles! I’m sure he wore it to the first day of school. Love all your knit projects. The T&BA cardigan is OUT OF THIS WORLD. ❤ Thanks for your beautiful episodes.

Thank you for sharing all of your interest. I have been milling wheat for over 25 years. The health benefits are wonderful. The Bread Beckers have several video podcasts on KZbin and Sue also has audio podcast which really dive into the health of it all. I love her recipes but also like Grains in Small Places. She has lots of KZbin content as well. I think she also does a review on several mills. I use the Whisper Mill and love it. I enjoy mixing several grains for different taste and textures. Enjoy that journey! Thanks again for lovely content. I always each episode.

This is a lovely episode. I like this magazine format. It’s fun to see lots of interesting forms of your creativity. As for wheat berries, I cook them in water, drain, then add butter and salt like I would for rice. Yum!

Loved the vlog Sarah. Yours are always beautiful. 🙌🏼 I’m working on my 3rd Hobbit vest 🤪 We just had a new grandson born, so I’ve made a 6 mos, a size 8 and am now working on a size 10. My hope is that they will make a wonderful Christmas picture for the family. It’s been fun working along with you. 😁 Yours turned out beautifully. I love the buttons.

What a fantastic episode. I am still watching but had to comment…. I’m new to your videos, but I’m feeling like this episode was made for me! I have been wanting to mill my own flour but thought I needed an expensive mill to start…. So glad I can get an attachment. I have ordered flour from a mill in Utah to make bread. I love the dishing ip Dirt book, but haven’t made those muffins. I’ll give them a try. I also own the Quilt book you mentioned, but sadly have not gone through much of it! I need to, as I plan on growing indigo in next years garden, just to make dye. So thanks for the reminder of multiple things on my “want to” list. I’m headed to Maine in October & I’m so looking forward to it!

as always, I loved your video. I just got Quilt Alchemy too and can't wait to be a bit further in my post partum recovery to get creative with it! The beautiful sweater in mustard made me want to dye some more raw wool with onion. But id like to try and make the yarn speckled. I'll have to experiment on the drum carder

Fantastic vlog as usual 💙 Thank you for sharing so much valuable & joyful information. I am interested in the bread, grain, mills, etc especially. Does that book happen to mention anything about which grains have less gluten than others? My health has caused me to be more homebound and I do better the more I pace and follow a very strict diet.

Thank you so much, Sarah, for your inspiration. I too spent the time before going back to school dyeing fabric using Quilt Alchemy as a guide. I used marigolds and logwood, with a goal of creating a range of colours for quilting. I'm currently deliberating what to do to increase the lightfastness of my logwood pieces..iron, cochineal, indigo...I'm curious, did you use iron?
