Sir I was on remission for 3 years with scapho 150 (age 26).. reports were normal and I still had a lot of pain and stiffness but it was manageable and the injection helped in reducing the problem upto 50 percent. .. but after 3 years my doctor decided to switch to other meds as it looked under control and in 4 months my CRP went from 1.2 to 18 and now there is immense pain in the upper body like it was during the beginning of the disease.. a relapse case ... now after one scapho I feel less pain and stiffness but the tightness won't go away and there is still pain.. is this fibromyalgia OR AS?.. and can it be cured with a different injection or medicine.. There is also visible difference in posture and stretching only causes more pain... Any help would make my life easy .... This disease is only active in spine and chest area.. other areas aren't affected . Thank you for your content 🙏

1) Scapho looks effective & please continue it. 2) Please discuss with your rheumatologist about having fibromyalgia in addition to AS. He would be able to confirm presence/ absence of fibromyalgia. 3) See a physiotherpist & learn back exercises. they can help reduce the pain further. I noticed that you mentioned increased pain with stretching. This can happen to begin with & a physiotherapist will eb able to guide you about this.

hello.dr akekekar; t have a question for you; i have ankylosis spondylitis disease for 10 years. i have never had biological treatment because i used to be very ill with tuberculosis and had surgery my lung 10 year ago.now my question is do you think biological treatment can help my disease ankylosis spondylitis

Biologics do increase the risk of tuberculosis. Please see a rheumatologist & discuss. One needs to assess the activity of AS & based on that weigh the risk of uncontrolled AS versus risk of TB
