Hi there. I am currently experiencing proximal tibialfibular dislocation. It happens often as I practice jiu jitsu. It happens when my left knee is in flexion and my foot doriflexes and internally rotates and My knee locks. I can pop it back in by simply extending the leg. There’s soreness for a few days and it’s good to go. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Perhaps the taping? Is surgery the only option? Please help!

How do we adapt this technique in the presence of a meniscus tear. Would this technique be contraindicated?

The foot should be on external or internal rotation?

I can' t bend my leg hardly at all ...so how can you do this practise ...my fib head keeps dropping out of line all the time . Im in pain and have treatment weekly but the perineal nerve is trapped by the fib head ....what do you surgest ;?

gillian sinclair you can actually work on the fibula head in a more gentle Articulation technique rather than manipulation if needed.. loads of techniques

OMT Training mine is due to a bad fall on my knee ... 6years ago @it drops all the time giving me pain in my ankle as if something is stabbing around ankle bone when i walk ...So anyway i can encourage the fib head to stay in the correct possition is welcome

henrietta henson what you're describing is a laxity not a hypomobility. Your treatment should focus on stabilizing this laxity rather than on mobilizing.

Dear Gile, thanks for your vedio, I have head of fibula pain for for 8 weeks after I twisted my ankle when I played table tennis, my ankle is fine but my knee injury pain, did once physio, doesn't do good on my knee, but I wonder can I do something by myself? Physio cost me a lot but not find good one at my living area. Thanks for your concern.
