I have had this pain for 2 years with the head of the fibula locking from time to time. The pain radiates from the head of the fibula to the ankle. Thank you having difficulty getting help.

nice little way to remember to rotate tibia 5 degrees (the word tibia is 5 letters). i was always not rotating the tibia when mobilising the tibia.

I have this issue, and this is exactly what my osteopath did with me. I am wondering if there are any exercises or techniques that I can do at home, to continue to ‘free’ the fibula head, or if this is something that I must continue to go to the osteopath for. I find that when I walk, I occasionally feel that sharp pain by the fibula head. I’ve been told to try to ‘manipulate it’ to free it, although when doing this yourself, it is your thumb that you have to use to get in the back of the leg, rather than at the fibula head, so more difficult to free up.

i have a case of what appears to be a spasm of the fibularii muscles; onset 4/52 ago involved landing on tip toes of affected leg from a jump and felt sudden pain posterior to fibular neck; pain intensity only felt now with jogging/running... all along the fibularii feel HT and are extremely tender to palpation but no noticeable weakness in eversion... affected leg has a flatter foot arch... the treatments outlined in your video here were followed (succesfully mobilising all joints) but got more favourable results by trying to posteriorise the talus with the reasoning that the talocrural joint is less stable in plantarflexion (landing on tiptoes) and causing the talus to anteriorise effectively stretching the fibularri and resulting in theses muscles contracting forcefully... I was wondering if you have come across something similar/or any have any suggestions would be appreciated--maybe a reciprocal inhibition of the fibularii via an MET

I had a TKR left leg 11 weeks ago and seem to be going backwards. The above video seems to fit my sysmptoms perfectly. I fell day 4 post TKR and ended up with a strong upper ankle sprain. Still have affects from that. Knee flexibility is very good but the pain on walking now and doing some exercises is going negative. Is it possible I need to be in some form of bracing for the tracking to stay in line or what should I not be doing? Thanks

I have had nerve pain in my shins and knees for 28 years since l had a severe shin splints. I had atest recently that ruled out compartment leg syndrome. This video has got me wondering whether the myline sheath of the nerves have been damage as the nerve pain occurs after exercise. I am going to try a vitamin b complex for the next few months to see if it can repair any nerve damage as it seems the nerves are irritated when being used. If it is not this it makes mexwonder if the nerves are sticking.

it is a great informative video as usual, but i have few things to pick up on, first could this technique be used a treatment protocol for anyone who suffered from fracture of the ankle , sprain or any other pathology , out of precaution that recent dysfunction could have disturbed the normal biomechanics of the ankle without the patient complaining of knee pain?, second the strength that was regained in the evertors after the treatment was mainly due to release of the compressed peroneal nerve which was entrapped at the level of the proximal tib fib joint?? ,thanks in advance john

Dr! I am a runner. This pain is really killing me. I don’t know what to do. Iceing like crazy I have nobody to help me move my foot. What do you suggest. Mine hurts 3 miles into every run. Went from 60 miles a week to now I can barley run 3 miles please help

I train 5-6 days a week and a couple times a year my GerdyTurbicle area gets very swollen. I keep thinking it was my IT Band. But I did not when my outside right knee is inflamed is that my right foot also angles out more than my left. Now I am wondering it it is something else. When inflamed I can hardly walk. Then it goes away as fast as it comes.
