I love how this turned into a PSA about bullying and consent. My favourite things, horror and being a decent, respectful human being.

Kudos for the out-of-nowhere "Safe, Sane, Consensual" mention. After 50 shades more people need to be reminded of those.

Ugh, this movie. It was full of unlikeable characters I wanted the killer to slaughter. Awesome review.

I like the basic concept of this movie, where it's essentially a flip of the usual slasher set up, where the flaws of the victims are heavily emphasized and we want the slasher to emerge unscathed, which he does. If this movie was better written, I would've applauded it for such a unique situation. Cause the idea of a killer who goes crazy only once, killing a select set of people, then never kills again and unites with the woman he loves. Hell, by the end I think she knew he was the killer, she just didn't care.

It's a shame this movie seems so boring because I too LOVE the villain's design, the theme of a Valentine's Day killer with threatening cards is cool and some of the kills are neat but it needed better people behind it. It's such a shame when cool ideas are wasted on bad execution.

I don't know why but this slasher intrigued me, it has some peculiarities. usually with the other slasher i look at them, i tell myself at the end that i love them and it's all except with valentine it was not the same as with the other slasher, he has something which manages to intrigue and make the film interesting from start to finish. it is too underestimated. it is an excellent slasher with a real plot, a very well put together story, a unique film which lasts 1 hour 35 minutes. The killer has a real motive, he is not a psychopath, he does not kill in order to kill. these assassinations are very original and quite surprising, not too bloody but brutal and original with elegance. I love morbid valentines cards, great idea. The mask also very well thought out and logical with the theme. the elegant black costume of a vengeful killer cupid rejected by love. with the trickle of blood on the mask and the nosebleed of the young boy from the prologue who is the symbol of this very well thought out killer also adds a touch. the end of the film which I also adore because this turnaround is just magical with the final shot. we can say that he succeeded in his plan. excellent. I watch it every February 14 at the evening of every year. always a pleasure. it's a mix of thriller, romance, horror, love, and sleuth with a charismatic and serious killer as well as very consistent with its theme and story. the soundtrack and the music of this slasher are also excellent, this mixture of love song and scary horror, perfect.
