Fidelity just bought an old family farm,and the old Dow pharmaceutical building in Smithfield RI about seven years ago,and just completed several new buildings in a new office park exclusively owned and operated by Fidelity.

You are ignoring the elephant in the room - they are leaving San Francisco particularly because of shitty Democrat policies that have run it into the ground and led to high taxes, high crime and lack of safety for staff.

@MasterMalrubius it's in the business journals, and newspapers. As well as in the quarterly, and year end reports. Despite slow down in various units, or shutdowns, their salaries are untouched, or even increased. Do your own research

Does it really matter that the Feds shaved a fraction of a percent off interest rates? What do they expect will happen ... millions of underemployed and unemployment people are going to run out and buy cars and houses with borrowed money? And how are banks to survive when their forced to repossess these cars and house in a few months? The economy is suffering mostly from wounds self-inflictef by government incompetence and greed. Good luck to all.

The fed does not care about consumer level debt only institutional level debt. The fed just saved (name a corporation) not Joe Blow.
@BonannoCMАй бұрын
@greyfox78569 Think of it as the trickle down theory in reverse. What use is institutional level debt when there's no economy to sustain it? The government can increase the National Debt until 35 trillion is seen as pocket change, but what's the point? It's not real. Without labor to give debt some semblance of value the dollar is kaput.

The Fed, being a mostly private entity owned and managed by the world's 20 largest banks, which, in turn are owned and controlled mainly by the very richest people in the world, expect those ultra-rich to borrow even more money and buy stocks, houses, and anything else that has arguable investment value, then flip them when lemmings jump aboard and boost the prices skyward even further. When this melt-up hits its peak, it will be time to lower interest rates again.

Hasbro is an excellent example:they have been bleeding since 38 Studios folded in the early part of the Millennium. They lost the rights to be the distributor of video games that were going to be manufactured by 38 Studios when 38 Studios tanked!!
