Hi! I just picked up this amazing 1960 Plymouth Fury 2 door hardtop that was sitting in a field for many years. Looks like she was last driven in the early 70's and has been sitting around since.
This Fury has been in the same family from new. The grandfather of the gentleman I bought the car from passed the car to his son in 1967 (when he bought another Fury) and the son drove it til the engine blew in the early 70's. Later, the boys put a 383 from a '62 Newport in the car and it is still there today!
The Fury is mostly complete, and will be getting a full restoration back to its original condition. I'll probably leave the 383 in it, as the original engine is long gone.
I am very grateful to the previous owner, Kevin, for saving the car until someone like me came along with the ability to restore it. He had many offers to buy parts from the car, but he didn't want to see his grandfather's car parted out and lost forever.
The Fury is in pretty rough shape... lots of rust and old collision damage to sort out, but I am already on the trail of a parts car and potential donor for the bottom of the car.
Thanks again to everyone who subscribed to our channel here! Thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments... I read them all and answer as much as I can!
Cheers and all the best from everyone here, especially me and my best girl Stella!

From the moment I started watching this vid I thought you would use it for parts. But what you said was different. And when you bought the red fourdoor sedan I coulden't for the life of me understand your plan, Scott. What yoy did was not short of a miracle.. you sliced both cars horisontaly and fitted them together as one. I have been following you and the rest of the agents for years and you still surprise me. Unavailiable parts you make, you solve technical and mecanical problems, even electric challenge you solve like no one else I know. We live far away from each other Scott, but I wish we knew each other. I'm kind of like you, but I'm no good shaping metal. I'm a mecanical engeneer. I was for three decades. Now I'm retired. I wish you and the agents all the best. Take it easy on the weed..

Hi Scott. I'm just starting to rewatch this Fury project for the second time. And I had forgotten how bad the start of it really was. Just getting at it so you could get wheels on it and to get it to the place where the video with the winching starts...man. And the fact that you even contemplated this build after you had looked it over closer, seeing that you knew (in contrast to a clueless enthusiast) what it would take just in rust repair alone to restore this massive land yacht. And after that you of course knew you had all the mechanicals and interior to restore (a thousand hour job as you put it in the video...). To top it all off you had no illusions from the start what all this would cost before it was finished. It's very impressive that you started this (some would say slightly mad, lol) is what I'm saying... Looking forward to watch the journey again.

My oldest sister got married in 1961 and her husband had one of these. It was red/white and being five yrs old at the time I thought it was the coolest thing on the road at the time because it looked so different from everything else. It had those outrageous tail fins, cool speedo, oval steering wheel with the rear view mirror mounted on the dash. With twin rear antennas and dual exhaust it made my dads 1956 Dodge station wagon look drab, plus the fact whenever I went some place with my sister and brother in law he liked to put his foot in it. Sadly they traded it in on a new 1963 Nova wagon when my sister got pregnant.
