Hi! I just thought some of you might enjoy a look at this Canada-only, one-year-only 1959 Dodge Viscount! This is a Canadian version of the Plymouth Fury Sold at Dodge dealers. Other than the Dodge front clip and badges, it is identical to the Fury, including the dash and interior. The engine is a 318 poly-head V8 and the transmission is a 3-speed column-shift. This car does not have power steering or brakes, but does feature the deluxe steering wheel, radio (now missing, sadly), clock, and padded dashboard. Also interesting is the dual-deck antenna option, and the simulated spare-wheel cover on the decklid. This was probably a pretty flash car in pink and grey when she was new!
I doubt that there are many of these Viscounts left anymore; I've never seen one in person before. Either way, I figured it was just the thing for the Cold War Motors Used Car Lot!
Thanks to everyone for watching and subscribing... I appreciate all of your comments and "thumbs up"s!
Lots more classic clunkers on the way, and I'm working on the next Frazer update, too!
Cheers from me and Stella!

Those bastards could at least put some sort of tarpaulin on a frame over their cars, how much could it cost for them!

These are all cars that this gentleman saved years ago when they were going for scrap so that others could restore them, or salvage some parts someday. How many classic cars have you kept out of the crusher? Unless its a number somewhere over 300, you'd best let the big kids play. By the way, this video does not show the dozens of much better cars in the buildings that I filmed but didn't post. So, let's review: You called someone you've never met and know nothing about a bastard, based on a field of cars he saved from going for scrap until he could find better homes for them. You are not making friends here with that kind of performance. You actually should feel quite stupid, but maybe you have created an alternate reality for yourself where your opinion is not laughed at and your knowledge of cars is highly respected. Cheers.

I remember that steering wheel. My grandparents had a '57 Belvedere, nicely equipped, but my Grandma got to the point she could no longer drive non-power steering. Instead of going the easy route and buying a new car, Granddaddy found a '59 Plymouth parts car and paid a mechanic to transfer the power steering into the '57 Belvedere. The -57 steering wheel wouldn't fit the '59 splines, so the Bel got the '59 wheel. About two years later the Belvedere was heavily damaged in a Mississippi hail storm, and Grandma bit the bullet and bought a new air conditioned '67 Belvedere II hardtop coupe, white with a black vinyl top. The '67 had something Grandma just couldn't work out that looked wrong at the rear end. I (ten years old) pointed out that the left taillight had chrome trim and the right didn't. The Plymouth dealer installed the Satellite taillight to make things match.

+Ozwarlock0 Thanks for the note! Well, I was lucky that the previous owner (my buddy John) saved these cars when he did... everyone else was just scrapping everything they could get their hands on when scrap prices were high... all of these cars would have been crushed years ago if it weren't for him. He knows exactly what hes has, too; you should see the stuff that's in the buildings! I didn't put up any of that video because I would be absolutely swamped with emails from people trying to buy his cars! Anyway, this old Dodge is safe now; I never part out any of my cars if they can be saved! Cheers from Canada!

A '59 Dodge Mayfair is 1/2 hr from me in BC Canada. *Plodge* we called Dodge-Plymouth hybrids and *Chevriac* Chev-Pontiacs, both 'cobblings' for Canada's tinier market. After just a year, top-line Viscount became Dart.

Scott I'm glad you found this car that's got many part the 60 Fury, but seeing how complete it is and being one year model I just wish it could be saved too, and the blue Fury showing outside looked really nice too, but with so much to do and finding proper parts for your 60 Fury, maybe you'll find a use for the parts from the Viscount
