I love how people will mock others for relating to a song. Because they don't understand what others are going through and music is their escape. Why don't you get the fuck off your high horse and step back into reality. Love this song and if you came here just to start shit get the hell out. There will be a day when you know what pain is. I feel, like I'm looking at myself as a child like seeing him walk away from me slowly as the world goes from a field of flowers to a dark rainy city, it's raining and I'm clinging to my gun leaning against the wall of a brick building, I don't want to keep doing this, no more bullets, no more blades. I want to be that child again. That boy who even though his life was one of solitude, even though he was hurt and full of pain. He had his imagination to escape to. It wasn't much but there he could be what he wanted. As stupid as this will sound I feel like I'm right there as Amy sings, like she's saying "I know how you feel." Sorry about the whole...whatever you want to call this, I'm just expressive and all.

I understand this completely. It is exactly how I was in 8th grade. Everything was carefree and beautiful and bright... and fake. But I realized the truth. Now though. i've lasped back into my childhood playfulness, just to please everyone else. Unfortunately, I think I dove too deep into that and now I've either completely lost myself or am just too numb to feel. The fact though that I can still feel this song and connect to it is a good thing though. One of the BESTsongs of Evanescence.
