I noticed the 43/43x/48 have a looser fitting recoil spring, and my 43x has streaks/marks on the frame by the take-down lever where the spring is located, as if it slid off a couple times during firing. I had to send it in to Glock due to cases being stuck against the breech face, as if after firing the case wouldn't even make its way to the ejector. Glock couldn't replicate the issue but did replace extraction parts. I haven't had the problem since, but I am not totally confident with this pistol and that sucks. I believe a person's confidence in their weapon is as important as how accurate it is.

I’ve got the same setup. Just picked up a Romeo5 red dot and plan on shooting the MCK thanksgiving weekend. I’ve put 500 rounds through my 43X with no issues. How do you like the MCK?

The MCK is a game changer. Had one for my G22. Sad I had to sell it. Fortunately I got my 43x back and built how I want it for my EDC. Another MCK is in my near future. I also suggest a Holosun 507k as well 👌

Shield arms makes a 15 round flush mag and a 20 round mag w/ extension. There’s no drums for a 43x lol

You learn something 🆕 everyday. Cleaning 🪥 my guns, is one thing I may be obsessed about 🤔. I put 143 rounds thru one of my Glocks last weekend. I don't know if that would be considered shooting a lot. But one thing is for sure. I don't like dirty guns 💯. You know people, clean their firearm's, differently than other's. So for me I am learning, as much as I can. About firearm maintenance 🤝

I used to have the glock 30 sf but my friend bought it. I just had to get another glock so I picked up the 43x and it's actually the first 9mm I have ever owned. Good thing glocks for the most part break down the same

i think i cleaned my G19 once the last 5 years and it fires every time i pull the trigger. Incredibly well engineered/developed handgun. I will never carry anything else. I wish they made a carbine. The negative Glock has is that they are fugly AF but, as long as it bangs.

My brother bought a new 43X and he had some problems with the slide failing to lock back after the last shot. He had the Range Safety Officer (RSO) examine the gun and it was determined that spring that is connected to the slide lock was very stiff and so the strength of the magazine spring wasn't sufficient to overcome this spring and lock the slide back. He told my brother to put a few hundred rounds through it and the problem should solve itself. 🤔

Nah, his thumb is just touching the slide as it reciprocates. It happens often just I mentioned in the video. Seen it happen many times with people shooting the 43X for the first time.

The slide not locking back could be caused by your grip on the gun. With the grip being smaller than a full size i tend to be touching the slide release, so on last round it doesnt lock back because im holding the slide release.

Who makes the red cleaning rags you used? Link? Just got a 43x MOS after a long layoff from shooting. The basic red mechanics rags I use seem to leave some lint. They were clean but older. Bought some new ones a couple weeks ago that are part of the link you posted. Haven't used yet. I use to use microfiber rags but they caught on any dry skin on finger tips. May have to use gloves if I go back to them. Your red ones seem pretty lint free. Thanks. Nice Video!

Aside from round capacity, what are your thoughts on the g43x vs the p365? I've had a p365 for a few months and I have my doubts on build quality. I have a 19 gen 4 for about 10 years and I just trust it more. Having a hard time getting used to the p365, not sure if it's just bias.

I own both and like them both. I also own a G19. Can’t go wrong with any of them but the G19 is my favorite for EDC.

No sure if it's helpful, but Shield Arms has a mag for the 43X that holds 15 rounds and is the same size as the stock 10 round mag. Took forever to receive it, but I'm a fan of the extra 5 rounds and I haven't had any serious issues. They suggest replacing the stock mag holder with their metal one... Just a heads up take it easy

when cleaning my striker channel I accidentally made the firing pin move back. I moved it back out by pushing on the metal piece that allows it to move but now when i disassemble again the firing pin has moved back in. what do i do?

Send it back to Glock. They’ll fix it properly. You could go to your local gun smith but they’re going to charge you.

CLP stands for Cleaner, Lubricant, Protectant. There are many different brands. They all work fine but Lucas brand CLP is my favorite.

Clear it first. No mags / no ammo. Pull the trigger. Pull down in the slide lock tabs, then start pulling the slide back until you feel the slide lock tabs release. Then the slide will come off.
