Finally got this to work without spending any money. PowerShot a2200. Seems cool if you buy an underwater case for cheap and can now do under water timelapse or more daring shots without worrying much about the camera. Thanks for the vid.

I have a Canon Powershot SX110IS, it can record video at a maximum of 480p, is it possible with this CHDK firmware to unlock the resolution and record videos at the maximum resolution of the lens?

Hello I am trying to run interval.bas and counter.bas on my PowerShot SX50 HS but it always takes one picture and freeze on displaying image details screen. Am I doing something wrong? Plz Help :) Please also note that default script is working fine, I am able to increase/decrease shutter speed, Aperture and ISO.

@@fieldfest No problem. Actually after sending msg to you...I discovered it myself. There is an option in Canon Power shot Sx50 called Review Info that need to be turned off in order to run Intevalometer.bas or counter.bas otherwise after clicking first picture it will display image details and stops the scripts.

I noticed that you ran 'interval.bas' in the tutorial. That is the default script that comes with CHDK. The script that you should have run was 'counter.bas' which is in the downloaded zip file. Great tutorial otherwise though.

I am using a Canon A2500 and downloaded the correct CHDK version (I think). I followed your instructions all the way to loading the intervalometer script. Now it says No @chdk_version, assuming CHDK 1.3 rather than interval (sec) and there is no way for me to set the time. Am I doing something wrong?

sorry I don't know. It looks like you should be using the version a2500-100a-1.4.1-4976-full_ALPHA.zip. Did you check it worked before adding the timelapse bits?

I went back and used Automatic Camera Identifier and Downloader (ACID) to install the version you mentioned and now I have a fully functional time lapse camera yay! Thanks for the great video!

Manually - just create empty file ver.req on SD card Power on in PLAY mode with ver.req file on SD card, press and hold FUNCSET, press DISP. reveals the firmware version:

@@syronseansangines7465 Hi, so first please write how big SD card do you have? A630 can use SD cards up to 16Gb, but it's two different ways how to prepare a card for CHDK in case your card is less or bigger then 4Gb

Thank you very much for your tutorial, I've enjoyed it, and in fact I'm actually in the process of mounting my first timelapse in Final Cut Pro thanks to you. Just one final question, how can you switch off the screen while taking pictures? (so as to save battery life)

Jesús Méndez , insert the Canon Powershot video output cord into the camera's AV port. This will disable the LCD screen and save battery power.
