closing the ballast at 1500 helps a ton. also, these pumps seem to get much stronger after a break-in period.

I might be crazy but I expected it to pull down way faster than that especially with the trublu hose. Looks like you are using the legacy fittings on the trublu they have newer high flow ones now that are less restrictive and machined out of one piece.

I suggest not using a Schrader remover on the liquid line and connecting straight to it with the micron gage. Add a little pressure on the system after the vac is done. It won't hurt the micron gage.

The vpx7 is the biggest vacuum pump, but the smallest in size and the lightest of the three. 👍 Nice video.

Yes Sir that is true, I lifted that pump with one hand up onto the ladder. Ergonomics and price point is hard for any contender to beat this pump. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻

One thing that has really frustrated me with the fieldpiece vacuum pumps is the caps for the ports, they don't seal properly unless you crank them down. Both my VPX7 and VP87 have this problem. Fieldpiece needs to use better quality gaskets. I changed all the gaskets and never had a problem after that. Still like these pumps though

I also have one too, by any chance when your carrying it and it tilts a little does it leak oil from the exhaust port. Plus when ur vaccumming the lines does alot smoke come out from the exhaust port?

I was carrying it a lot today and roping it up and down didn’t notice any oil coming out the exhaust port. You might have it over filled. Yeah the vapor is normal and noise gurgling just depends on the system exposure.
