FIESTA CAL part 1 - Mosaic Crochet Tutorial

LET THE FIESTA BEGIN!
this is the tutorial for the first part of my FIESTA crochet along 2019! the pattern will be released in 6 parts, 1 per week, for the next 6 weeks. It's a paid CAL and the pattern is available in my Ravelry Store on half price = 5$ during the CAL. I will change that to full price = 10$ on December 1st
I will post free video tutorials for each part of the CAL here on my KZbin channel, always when releasing a new part of the pattern on Ravelry.

lastly, I know that I say in the video that the pattern will be available both on RAVELRY & ETSY. but I have been sanctioned by ETSY because when I first opened my ETSY account I happened to be living in HAVANA, CUBA, and due to the US EMBARGO on CUBA they have banned me from ETSY. this is all very unfortunate and I'm trying to contact them to work this out. until they can fix this for me (thankfully the US doesn't have an embargo on my native ICELAND where I live now! so I trust this WILL be fixed) … there's really nothing I can do. so for now, it's only available in my RAVELRY store. To help me in that quest, you could maybe try and contact ETSY as well and ask them to let me make my FIESTA CAL available there too!
ERROR NOTE: when I'm showing how to work ROUND 2, the video states incorrectly that it's ROUND 3. so please bear that in mind.

I have already made the Coorie scarf and will be giving it to my daughter for her birthday in September. It looks fabulous! I am having so much fun making your Fiestacal but must admit I have needed your tutorials to help me! One thing is ending the round to make it look as neat as yours. I see you have 2 loops on your hook after you have placed your hook through the loop. Where is this 2 loop coming from ? You seem to point your hook downwards when entering the loop instead of going straight through the back loop.

Tinna, your designs are super beautiful, and I have purchased several - and I am sure that the 60+ pages of each will prove useful; however, I wish you would also provide the instructions the way patterns are normally & traditionally given, without all the words. eg "main color. 1CH, 2SC (DC2tog before & after DC on last round) ... and so on. I've NEVER found pattern instructions so difficult to comprehend. I guess some of us are visual or something, and when we SEE a thing, we understand. I'm one of those who always just ends up throwing away the "how to assemble" instructions that come with stuff from China in exasperation for exactly this reason..

Hi Tinna! I know this is an older video but I hope you'll see this. I absolutely love your patterns. I recently found a free pattern for a crocheted bag strap by Purdy Sweet Crochet, the bag she made herself and used it on, credits you For her inspiration, she does not have the pattern for her bag available, so I decided to dig and find the pattern she was inspired by and it was this one! She uses one of the motifs for the bottom of the bag and it is brilliant. So I just purchased this pattern! Thank you for such beautiful brilliant patterns with excellent tutorials. I’m sorry, but I will not be making my tutorials more slow, I absolutely hate slow tutorials so I won’t be doing that myself 😉 but if you clic on the three white dots in the upper right corner of your screen, you’ll find speed options, so there you can “slow me down”! 😉 also, in the written pattern, you’ll find the total stitch count for each round at the end of each round. For more help, please join my fb group, you’ll find the link here above in the description. There you can post a pic of where you are having problems and me and my admin team will be happy to help!!! I’m absolutely sure we’ll be able to figure this out together! And once you have the first one completed, it’ll get way easier! 😉❤️❤️😘

Hi Tinna. I've been binging your channel, but I got to the Fiesta CAL and haven't got any further. I will, but not yet. Anyway I bought the pattern for this, and I think I may have found an error in it. Dahlia Round 19: where it reads "the 8th goes into the back loop of the ch" I think it should be "the 7th goes into the back loop...." I may be wrong, and I apologise if I am, but I didn't want it to go unmentioned to you, just in case. Love your work.
